Hidden gem

We were twice in Granada and after the reviews we decided to go there. It is hidden but totally worth the money. You can choose the tapas which comes free with your drink. It tastes amazing! And super cheap!

Poe is a real gem. Matt is a wonderful host, the drinks are reasonably priced and the tapas on offer (which you can choose, something relatively rare in Granada) are fantastic. Some may not like the expat feel of the place, as it seems to be frequented mostly by American and British students, but I would urge people not to... More

Not a place you would normally stumble upon, but definitely worth seeking out! My friends and I met many other students studying abroad and enjoyed the relaxed and fun atmosphere. The bartender/waiter was incredibly nice and gave us great service. The bar was crowded so get there early if you want seats. Tapas were great- especially the pork and pineapple... More

Bar Poe is a fun spot to spend the night, but expect to be surrounded by American college students. The bartender, Matthew, is really fun and the tapas are an awesome combination of international flavors. It can get really crowded even on weeknights, so arrive early if you want a spot to sit!

Bar Poe... I'd characterize it as an expat bar, but the tapas were wonderful, Matthew understands beer and hospitality, and it's a great spot, after you've landed, to ask questions to help get your bearings. Matthew's advice about places to see and eat was spot on. Also, Estrella was a nice change from Cruzcampo. ;^) We'll be back!

Love their innovate tapas. Everything on the menu was good, no doubt. The boss is such a lovely old Britain gentleman, dressed decently and serving his customers well. The interior was beautiful and tasteful, giving a comfortable feeling. People in the bar were cool, desired to talk to all of them :) Never miss this if you are in Granada,... More

We've tried more than 6 places in Granada in our short trip but i can assure you that this place is the most delicious and cheapest tapas bar in Granada. The owner of the place also very friendly and you can feel that he loves his job. Prices are incredible if you compare with other places; so cheap! Fully recommended.

This place is a winner. Come here for dinner and stay for drinks! A good mix of locals and travellers were there. The spicy chicken stew with a beer is recommended. If you are a vegetarian there are only two options for your free tapas. Vegetables or a chick pea salad. The bloke behind the bar was efficient and nice...

Always be suspicious when any food establishment has too extensive a menu, it usually mean they are not good at any in particular. Bar Poe on the other hand has a very limited menu, and as a resulted has perfected pretty much every one. Ex-Brixton boy Matt and his Angolan wife Ana are excellent hosts. Ana's presence in the kitchen... More

If you go to the city of Granada, try and check out this place! This is what tapas is all about and you will not be disappointed. Whilst a lot of the tapas bars in Granada offer the same dishes, this place is completely unique and that is why it works! The dishes are bursting with flavours and leave you... More
