A Casual Place in Old Albayzin

We happened on this bistro as it was just steps from our hotel; ordered sea bass dinner which was spectacular. This is a casual restaurant but the food is very good. Many locals were here as well. Recommend this if you are in the area.

We came here for dinner (not tapas) and loved it. Our starter (Aubergine), mains (pork cheeks, sea bass) and dessert (chocolate fondant cake) were all delicious. Nice wine too. The indoor seating area is small but felt cosy on a cold winter evening.

The restaurant is small and has only 8 Tables, but we went there during the week arount 7pm and got a table without a problem as most Spanish people go for dinner later. The menue is very interesting and has some other tapas beside the normal ones like jamon iberico and croquetas. There is a mixed vegetable plate made in... More

The hummus tapas was the only thing we enjoyed. The "small chicken" was largely bone and two of our party sent theirs back to be cooked through on finding blood. Expensive and doesn't live up to the descriptions.

Although some of the reviews of this restaurant are mixed, my wife and I had one of our best meals in Granada at El Aji. They started us off with a delightful and tasty appetizer of hummus rolled in a thin flat bread. Then we had the Salmorejo soup and caprese salad for a first course, both of which were... More

Other reviews highly rate this restaurant but our meal was disappointing. We had what was advertised as a whole chicken. But we have never eaten chicken with so little meat on it. If we managed to find 3 mouthfuls on the whole chicken that was about it. Such a scraggy chicken you wondered how it had lived.

This was the first restaurant recommended to us by Estefania, who works at the Reina Isabel hotel in Albaycin, Granada. We ended up there our first night in Granada, and met with friendly and helpful service, and a couple of excellent meal choices (the Caprecce salad -- tomato, mozzarella, olive oil, and pesto -- , and one of the pasta... This little eatery was at the top of our street in the lovely Placeta de San Miguel Bajo in the Albayzin so of course we had to try it. It no doubt has lots of seating in the plaza in the warmer weather but the night we went we chose to take one of the only seven tables inside. The... More

Good food and OK service. The calamar was well cooked and nicely garnished. Steak was excellent. Quiet square in the Albaycin. You'll enjoy it.

Friendly waiter, quick service, lovely pasta (lemon and Gorgonzola). Nice spot too at the top of the old town. Decent night out.
