Good tapas in great surroundings

Following recommendations by lonely planet we stopped at El Aji for a quick lunch. As it was sunny we took a table outside on the square. We ordered pork in salt, tortilla, ham croquets, aubergines with cheese and a green salad, accompanied by freshly baked bread and a jug of sangria. The food was... read more

This is quite a small restaurant, slightly out of the way, but excellent food and great staff. Strongly recommended. Unfortunately it was too cool and wet to sit out that night, but very pleasant ambiance inside too. And really good value.

We were quite surprised to find a place offering a 'menu del dia' for €10 in the Albaicin district of Granada. It was an excellent find; from the home-made houmous tapa that started our meal, to the delicious salmorejo and the freshly made pasta and bacalao dishes for main courses, we enjoyed every mouthful. We sat outside in the square,... More

We went here twice whilst staying nearby. You can sit in the square, or inside where it is very clean and modern. Our drinks-gin & tonic, and vermut were very good. Service was good, although our complimentary tapas arrived just before our meals arrived, long after drinks. The little rolls of smoky humous were delicious. We had pork dishes one... More

we went here Sunday last week, our last day in Granada. the service was a bit peculiar from the off, but we carried on regardless. Food was good and not too expensive. one of the other customers tied a dog up next to a lamppost near us that whined for ages. really irritating and no way to treat an animal... More

This is a small restaurant up in the high, narrow streets of the old quarter in Granada. We stumbled across it, after climbing up the hill to overlook the Alhambra from the city. It was 1 pm, no one else in the Restaurant, but we had read about it in Fodors. Amazing, wonderful food! The best dish was a shrimp... More

We had a very good meal here , well served and very tasty. We had the pork cheek which was with mashed potatoe and very tender and tasty. It was a house speciality. We also had a good house salad. The deserts sounded good , but we were full already. It was a good meal and We would reccomend this... More

We stumbled into this little cafe while wandering around back streets of the old Arab town. Nothing too flashy to attract you, but don't be put off. Once we walked through the door we were warmly greeted and taken to a small attractively set table. I ordered a Negroni and my wife had mojito. Both were fantastic in quality and... More

This was a wonderful place to stop and eat at after wandering around for a really long time. The staff were amazing and they were telling me where I ended up since I was wondering and had not clue as to where I had been that day.
