If you want the traditional Tapas experience then Bodegas Castaneda will not disappoint. The lunchtime atmosphere was great and the service was treat to watch! We don't normally go back to the same place twice (especially on a short visit) but we made an exception with this place. Expect it to be busy and you might find it a struggle... More

Well... I call those places Tourists traps.. food is in general OK, however, one of the dishes that we ordered was pretty bad.. service needs improvement. Wine is fine. The tables outside are OK.. It is a nothing special place.

The place is a very typical old spanish "bodega", just like the name reminds, so you can find many people standing at the bar, chatting, drinking beer or wine and eating some tapas or raciones. There are few tables and chairs too, but you have to be a bit lucky if you want to seat down for eating, specially in... More

My wife and I just returned from 3 weeks in Spain and Portugal and our meal here was the only bad meal we had. I don't like reviewing restaurants because so much is subjective, however in this case I need to make an exception. The worst meal ever. The food (we had a selection of tapas) was mediocre at best,... More

My dish I had for lunch was almost not eatable. It was spinach with chick peas and chorizo, so the ingredients totally fine, but I can't imagine what they did with them to destroy their taste like that. It's daring to serve that and charge you for it. The Sangria we had with it was equally bad. It tasted like... More

This place is in several travel books and gets BUSY at tapas time. A few tables are available only for those who order food (not including the free tapas), so arrive early to get one of the coveted tables. The food and drink are varied and good here. Many types of vermouth on tap as well. Recommend the meat and... More

Located just off Reyes Catolicos, one of Granada's main streets, it's very popular with locals which is a good sign. The tapas menu is extensive and a bit daunting given our limited Spanish. We asked the waiter for recommendations and were not disappointed with what was served. The meat empanadas I had was delicious.

This place is always always always busy. It has a great reputation that it rightly deserves. The tapas are great and the platters are wonderful. I highly recommend stopping by if you find yourself in Granada.

Oh my, I had been waiting for trying out tapas for years before I finally decided to come to Spain. This little gem had exceeded all of my expectations of tapas! It was packed both nights when we dined here and we had to stand by the bar to order and eat. First night we just asked the waiter to... More
