Bustling tapas bar

Busy but we'll worth squeezing up to the bar. Yes free tapas but ordering extra from 2 euro was worth it, the jamon bellota was melt in the mouth. Staff are amazing and work so quickly and efficiently they are worth watching for a while.

We just popped in as we walked by and as it was full of locals, we knew it had to be good. Very lucky indeed. As others say, excellent free tapas for every drink ordered. 1 for 1. Plus we ordered a few more things. Spanish husband was pleased as were our two boys. Shame we discovered this on our... More

We are Australians living in Granada for 12 months. This place was recommended to us in our first week and since then it has become our favourite 'local'. Yes, its incredibly crowded, noisy, serviettes all over the floor and the Spanish way of standing to take your drinks and tapas is pretty much adhered to. But if you truly want... More

We tried numerous times to get into this tapas place. It proved impossible at night so in the end we went in at noon and even then were squeezed into a corner sharing a table and bar space with other diners. The waiters were very good at recommending items and we had paella, meatballs with mushrooms, spicy pork, tortilla with anchovy,... More

This place you should visit, we enjoyed the vibe. My question is how come you get free tapas when you order two drinks but not one?

Brilliant tapas bar where complimentary tapas comes with every drink ordered and you can order more from an extensive menu.Swift service but it gets very busy and tellingly the clientelle includes many locals. Great decor, lovely wine and tasty food. We loved the atmosphere and it was truly a highlight of our holiday. Wish we could have returned. Afterwards we... More

Just been here today. Noisy boisterous atmosphere in a good way.Tasty tapas with each drink. Being British not problem. No prizes for politeness from waiter ( but my Spanish worse than his English) that said prompt service, found us a table by our second drink - and it was reassuringly busy (with plenty locals). We got tasty free tapas with... More

Wonderful tapas bar with easily the best tapas you will get. And not too expensive to boot. Tip, its small and get VERY crowded. We got there at 7, and got a table, by 7.30-8, no chance. Well worth a visit.

We were recommended to go to Castaneda and it didn't disappoint! We were told to head there early as it gets quite busy so we aimed for 8.30pm (thinking this would be early enough in Spanish terms). It was already full but we managed to squeeze in at the bar where we were instantly served our drinks and first free... More
