Good old fashioned atmosphere with more traditional tapas and layout. Expect to wait quite a long time to be served

One reviewer said these were the best tapas in the world and of course I scoffed at the review. Well we went there and yes it is true! The quaint out of the way restaurant/bar was packed with locals which is always a good sign. The servers are friendly and really hustle to serve people. Most people stand at the... More

We stumbled across this tapas bar just off from one of the main squares and kept going back. An absolutely amazing location for a glass of wine and some tapas! It was a Spainish bank holiday and the place was mobbed. The tapas was delicious, the paella was fantastic, we ordered extra dishes of cheese and ham. The smoked cheese... More

I agree, this is a great place for good tapas. The folks behind the bar put on an amazing show. The big problems is there is another nearby restaurant by the name of Antiqua Bodega Castaneda that is not nearly as good but it is on a main street and hard to miss. The one you want, Bodega Castaneda is... More

Walked passed and took courage in hand and went in. Fascinating. So busy. Everyone seems to know what to drink, what to eat, what to order. Waiter took care of us. We definitely looked like tourists but he was very pleasant. Set us up with a place at the bar and some drinks and tapas. Definitely a place to people... More

We walked by this place a number of times before getting up the nerve to go in. It was always packed. Even standing room at the bar or by the walls was scarce. We walked in looking for a place to stand. A server behind the bar made eye contact, and seemed to be asking what we wanted - two... More

We nearly missed it as we were walking down from the Albaicin, and I was just 'drawn' in through the door with my friend. We arrived at around 1230pm and had planned to just stay for a couple of copas of vino; it was starting to get busy. We ended up staying until 430pm. It was still buzzing when we... More

We really enjoyed our wine and tapas at this truly authentic as Granada experience. It simply took a little extra time to get everything going. Our hotel recommended our visit and we truly enjoyed our evening..
