We dropped into this high-ceilinged back street bar early on a Sunday evening as the first of several at which we would dine on tapas of varying compositions and amounts. It was noisy, crowded and almost all of the voices were Spanish, with most drinkers seeming to be locals. The room is dominated by a long bar, running parallel to... More

The place is very charming and authentic, but the waiter was really horrible. He ignored his clients, when the cashregister did not work he did not know the price of the drinks, telling us he was not supposed to know the telephone directory by heart and when finally he returned the change he did not gave us the ticket. When... More

We ate here on our last night in Granada after reading the reviews in a couple of guide books. We had passed it by the first couple of nights because it was just too crowded with people elbow to elbow. The third night was a Monday and when we passed by it had just opened for the evening so we... More

This place is perfect for a cheeky, unhealthy treat - you go to Granada for tapas and this is exactly what you get at Castaneda. Great jamon, fantastic chorizo, tasty croquetas, pork with blue cheese....it even has a bull's head on the wall to show it's a 'proper' Spanish tapas bar! Lethal combination drinks too. Just go and have some... More

Clearly one of the places to be in Granada, this 'olde world' looking bar/restaurant opens at 7:30 pm and starts to really fill up at about 9. The interior is all dark wood and display cases of old bottles and glasses. Bags of character. The food is first class. Complementary balcalo as an appetizer when we went But be warned,... More

Granada is known for its tapas and Bodegas is a good place to start. The cosy tapas bar has friendly service, good wine and a variety of tapas to devour. I especially liked the 'chef style mussels', the black pudding and the house dish which is something like flour cooked with pork and green chilies. Although I didn't try this,... More

Great place to enjoy some cañas or a glass of wine. The tapas were delicious specially the salpicon de mariscos. My wife and I came here more than once so I highly recommended.

We loved the tapas and the wine. The people behind the bar only speak Spanish, but we were still able to communicate with them. Very nice atmosphere!

According to the staff at our hotel, this restaurant used to be one in the same as the similarly-named restaurant around the corner. At some point the business was split between two brothers, and so now there are two restaurants with this same name. You can't get confused when you visit: this one is obviously the more popular of the... More

Portions are smaller then average. Food was tasty but price was on the more expensive side considering I only ordered tapas.
