Cafe y Bar de Tapas Alhambra - great place to eat and drink

This review is for the tapas bar - four of us went twice and enjoyed our drinks and tapas - great location being very close to the cathedral - first time we went at Sunday lunch time and the bars and streets were crowded with locals out and about enjoying themselves - we went back 2 nights later... read more

We were visiting Granada for the day and couldn't find the restaurant we had previously selected to have lunch in, so, hungry and warm we wandered around and stumbled across this place which seemed busy. Usually a good sign? We took a seat and were approached by the waiter who was rather abrupt. It was almost like he was annoyed... More

We stopped to have Tapas and Sangria, typical tourist fare (because we are tourists!) it was very ordinary, in fact we left most of it as inedible. Served by a surly waiter (who tried not to return our change) the whole experience was terrible! High prices, especially for tourists!! Only one thing was good, it's a great location to absorb... We stopped in this tapas bar and were dissapointed. The service was very slow and it took several attempts to get any waiters attention even though there seemed to be quite a few staff and managers around and we were seated inside less than 3 metres away from them. The tapas was not cheap and it was the first place... More

We ordered a paella and they apparently got it from the restaurant next door and then charged us more than we would have paid there. The service was poor and staff indifferent, I would definitely not go back

This review is for the restaurant... The food was beautiful and very reasonably priced. We had 5 tapas and two beers for under €20 and they were of a great quality. We had the ham croquettes which were to die for so creamy, the tortilla, patatas bravas, a dish with 'miga' and chorizo and the black pudding. Would recommend this... More

This place (the cafe/restaurant on Plaza Bib-Rambla rather than the Alhambra palace and grounds!) serves the best churros I have ever tasted. There's a lovely mix of tourists and locals enjoying churros, coffees and chats in the morning, so the outdoor seating area is a lovely spot to people-watch and soak up the atmosphere of the cafe and the bustling... You have to marvel at the inginuity of the people who designed and build this fantastic complex. The pools and fountains radiate a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

The # 1 place to visit in Spain. Wow to see how people lived back then is super neat. This site needs a whole day, lots of walking because there is much to see and understand the history. Absolutely beautiful and I would definitely visit again. Highly recommend reservations, parking it convenient, gift shop is excellent, take lots of stunning... More
