Lovely experience

We went to Bodegas Espadafor because it was near our apartment and had good review on Trip Advisor. From the outside it didn't look promising - just a bar for local workers - but don't be put off. When we went in we were directed to some tables for eating at the rear of this lovely, traditional... read more

And that says a lot - this is located in Granada where excellent tapas bars flourish. Excellent service and atmosphere. This is a must when visiting Granada - you will not be disappointed.

This is a traditional tapas bar with free tapas for the table when you order a drink - the first was paella with chicken and mussels, and the second a stewed sausage dish, both of which were great! We also ordered the jamon asado (roast pork) because that's one of their specialties - very tasty, and the oil was left... More

This is a fantastic bar for those that want a real experience of a bodega. My for end and I went there 5 times in our 9 day trip to Granda. The food is fantastic given the prices charged and the choice of wines is amazing. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are great. Be adventurous and order something... More

Had a full day at the Alhambra? Need a few drinks and a hearty meal? This place will suit you then. Generous servings for the raciones, free tapas with your drink to start, attentive host and some interesting decor and locals to keep you entertained. Try a vermouth or oloroso as a starter or an Alhambra beer then select from... More

A lovely little old fashioned restaurant/bar serving a variety of dishes. The staff were very friendly even though most communication was in sign language! I highly recommend the aubergine dish! Certainly felt like a local (from a few decades ago).

A wonderful tapas bar with plain and simple old fashioned charm. If you had any preconceived notions about what a true tapas bar in Granada should look like, this would be it. The decor looks like it is the same as it was 50 or 100 years ago. It is not fancy but the staff is very friendly and the... More

We went in for tapas on our first afternoon having read the reviews on tripadvisor. We were told we could not have a table although there were tables available but could sit at the bar. After a short debate we left as it was obvious we were not welcome! There are no outside tables at this bar.

A proper "old school" spot from the early 1900's with big sherry barrels and a striking picture on the wall behind the bar. A little rough around the edges it has lots of old world charm with beautiful tiles depicting different areas of Granada on the walls. There is no outside seating but the cool, dark interior provides a welcome... More

This place is great. There is so much history, it was a bodega back when it first opened in 1910. It's family owned and operated to this day. It has so much character and the food was on point. The owner was so welcoming and the bartender and waiters worked so fast to accommodate our very large group and were... More
