Lovely Spanish Chiringuito

Lovely little chiringuito with some incredibly friendly Spaniards. We were staying at the Riu Nautilus close by and came here most nights for a couple of post dinner/walk drinks. We generally got a free tapa (olives, nuts and even a delicious tortilla on one occasion). On our second visit - the... read more

I had read a recommendation in a tourist book about this place and as we walked along from hotel Pez Espada towards Benelmadena, we spotted it one day, - heaving with diners and people enjoying drinks at the bar. The clientele were mainly Spanish, so we did as we usually do, - visit a restaurant which is full of locals!... More

On the walk from Torremolinas To Benalmadena was lured in by the blackboard special of avocado salad with prawns, salmon with potatoes, bread, half a bottle of wine & dessert for 15.75 euros. Everything was delicious. Dessert was pear poached in red wine with fig, orange & cinnamon. Service was efficient rather than friendly. Great value.

Really disappointing meal here. We ordered two main courses, and the waiter visibly snarled at us for not having the full ´nine-yards´, as in a three course meal. My chicken was very greasy, and only luke-warm. My husbands ´Grilled Prawns´came unaccompanied. When he asked if there was anything served with them- the rude waiter simply said ´No´, and walked off.... More

Having a holiday home here in Montemar for the past 30 years, this beach bar is one of our favourites. We use the beach beds in front of Jabega and are always served well by Paco our friendly bed man. Anyway, the house salad is superb consisting of lettuce, artichokes, egg, tomato, prawns, smoked salmon, asparagus, sweet corn, onion and... More

The Jabega is set in an idyllic location just a few minutes gentle stroll from the Puerto Marina on the edge of the Carihuela in Torremolinos. You will find few better restaurants of this sort anywhere along the coasts of Spain. The atmosphere is comfortable, friendly and relaxed. The waiting staff are very efficient, informal and charming. The head waiter... More

Good professional service and good fresh food here. We only had lunch here on the sunniest day during our all-inclusive week at Torre, and would have much preferred being able to have all our meals here rather than at our hotel. Would go back again!

2 of us had the advertised special at 15.75€ for a 3 course plus half a bottle of wine. I found the experience well worth money. It is one of the chirinquitos that has atmosphere and the fish are grilled just outside, stood up on sticks next to a wood fire. My wife doesn't like fish so she opted for... More
