Disappointing

We have eaten here on many occasions over the past 10 years and have always found it good. Last week however, ee took our family for a special treat and were really disappointed. The sardines were full of blood and had a bitter taste. My daughter ordered calamari frita which was overlooked and... read more

Between Torremolinos and Malaga (Paseo Los Alamos) you will find this very nice fish restaurant (chiringuito) right on the beach. Always a good place to stay when flying back home as it is also close to the airport. They serve all the typical fish platters which are really excellent, reasonably priced and better than what similar touristy eateries offer. The... More

Really bad service by a sullen, dull waiter who hardly spoke at all even though I speak good Spanish. Food was ok but not worth the bad experience with the staff.

This is one of the best places to eat fish in the area, but remains one of the most expensive. Its location is great and the service is laid back but very efficient. Of course the fish varies depending on the catch. Hopefully when you go youll get the old man cooking he knows his stuff when it comes to... More

I know some people below have been disappointed but my wife and I had a great selection of fish dishes here along with some salad and bread. Everything we had was faultless but some dishes appealed to us more than others simply because they were more to our taste. The bread served here set the standard for all the other... More

I was pleased that I chose this restaurant among the many chiringuitos which sit along this long stretch of beach. Being September it was a little disappointing that they do not have tables outside, but I was courteously offered a table right by the window. A glance at the menu shows that this restaurant is not cheap, but there is... More

It used to be the best fish restaurant in town, I used to go there twice or even three times a week. The sardines were the piece maitresse of this restaurant. Same could to be said about the calamar a la plancha. The price were higher than anywhere else but you used to get the best food. Now it's expensive... More

The Retaurant Bar La Sardina is a fantastic beach eatery where the locals go. It's mainly the fish that is the attraction at this highly professionally run restaurant. You get the impression that the waiting staff have been there for years. They're not very friendly, but boy, are they efficient! A huge basket of locally-caught snapper on ice greeted us... More

Just before our flight back we ate at this cafetaria/restaurant. We ordered shellfish. We could not believe our eyes when we saw the dish. No salad, no batatas, just plain cooked shellfish (amount: a man's hand full) It costed 11 Euro for this dish only. We had meals in fine restaurants in Alhaurin el Grande and Marbella (white table cloth... More

We live here and this is the best of all the fish restaurants that we have been to on the beach. We go their regularly. If you are looking for something economic I can recommend the fried Boquerones, small fish that are typical of the Malaga area and you can eat them whole, bone and all, or you can leave... More
