Do yourself a favour and try the most amazing food here. I would have eaten here everyday and stayed from lunch to dinner. Great food, good wine, friendly service and great value! Don't be afraid to experiment with what is on offer on the menu - you won't be disappointed with anything. Can't wait to go back - but be... More

This was to be our last lunch before flying home but we didn't expect such wonderful food. When the bottle of house white was perfect and the nibbles and homemade bread were so beautifully presented on grey slate plates and elegant white china by a very charming waitress we knew we had struck it lucky! I ordered a small bacon... More

We have visited this restaurant from its beginnings ..Although the style has become a bit fancier ..the staff are the same and it is really friendly and is always busy. The menu is now in both English and Spanish which is great (when we first used to go it was good fun just guessing with our very limited Spanish )... More

We tried here as it was always busy with locals which as you know is a good sign! Wasn't disappointed, it was lovely, we had four tapas dishes between two of us and there was plenty for us. Something a little different to the usual tapas - can fully recommend and we will be going again.

As others have said, this tapas/wine bar is consistently busy, even when other restaurants and bars on the street are completely empty. They do excellent tapas and wine, and the service was prompt and friendly. We were seated promptly upon arrival, and found the menu included English translations which was appreciated, especially as a lot of the customers were Spanish.... More

Off the main drag this excellent restaurant is worth finding. If you can locate the Hotel Ameragua you are close. Just continue in the direction for Belamadena on the same street (front of Hotel) and the restaurant is another 150mtrs approx. Having passed many empty and half empty restaurants on the way, El Vino de Ale was full and we... More

I wanted to try a good regional Tapas restaurant, and reading reviews picked this one to try, but have to say, the service left a lot to be desired, all staff rushing around and just not making you feel very relaxed. (I appreciate if it's busy, staff have to be quick but...) I didn't get the food I ordered, but... More

If you are looking for something different, this is a great place to have lunch or dinner. Excellent food, the best vinoteca in La Costa del Sol. Volveremos!

This was the second time that we have visited this lovely restaurant with our Spanish friend. The staff are friendly and the food is amazing. Lovely tapas and very different cuisine for this area. We will definitely be returning on our next visit. Just wish it was closer.
