WHICH JUAN TO CHOOSE?

As there are at least five restaurants with this name, all in this small area, we may be all talking about different ones. The one I visited is the largest one with lots of tables visible from the small square, and has no frontage onto the promenade. I am told the restaurants were founded by twin... read more

This is a large, popular restaurant with people waiting to get in. We had paella. It was bland. Some of the other dishes looked good. The prices were fair. Pace was hurried.

This was our first visit to Casa Juan & certainly will not be our last . One of the delights was seeing the Chefs preparing & cooking food in the open Kitchen. Service second to non. Will be back again in August ( can't wait ).

Been coming to casa juan for many years now. Great food and always a great atmosphere. Simply love it here. Had scallops on our last visit in a tomato sauce. Simply gorgeous.

Weve been going to Casa Juan over a period spanning 20 years or more and just returned after a 12-year gap. What a delight to find it remains one of the best seafood restaurants in 'La Carihuela' (and could probably trump most worldwide) despite having expended dramatically and become part of a larger group since our last visit. We had... More

Just had a fantastic lunch at this place. It's a mixture of Spanish people and tourists which we really liked. Service was fantastic, food excellent. The calamares were to die for. A pitty we're leaving tomorrow otherwise we would have come back.

Felt a little out of place, the Spanish seemed to served quicker, smiled at ,got bread on table before ordering, while we waited for drinks had to ask for bread and seem to have the food launched from 1m away while they chatted with other tables. The food was good but on the expensive side but won't go back

Went for a meal there and felt very uncomfortable. I didnt find the staff friendly and thought the food wasnt as good as other cheaper restaurants. We ordered fish and practically had the plate thrown at us, at no time did anybody come and ask if it was ok. We paid up and left asap.

This is one of our favourite restaurants in Spain and we have eaten there many times. The food is always very fresh and the service and quality is excellent. A bit pricier than the average chiranguito but well worth the extra.
