Good local cuisine

This small tapas bar is set off the tourist route and down a narrow pedestrian street. It was recommended to us by a local, and I have been there now on several occasions. Here you will get a tapa like a tapa is supposed to be. Real spanish cuisine, menu only in spanish. I had the rabo del toro, was really tastfull. Also had ansjovis and 3 glasses of white wine (verdejo). This is what espana is all about. Nothing fancy, just plain food cooked propperly.

I was recently on holiday with some friends and we want to get some nice authentic tapas. We stubbled upon this restaurant and after reading some of its reviews decided to give it a go. We ordered a selection of half dishes as we were told we could not order tapas as we were upstairs. First we had the calamari,... More

We deliberately try to find some genuine Spanish eating houses on each visit to Spain. We had to search hard to find Taberna de La Nina tucked away in a tiny street in the Old Town but the search was worthwhile as the "pub" was as authentic as you could get with bullfight photos adorning the walls and comfortable surroundings.... We went here on the recommendation of the staff of Hotel Claude. The restaurant is tucked away on a side street. Grab a map and find it! (Another good spot is across the street - Bar El Estrecho.) We asked our waiter to bring us a selection of their most popular tapas dishes. We enjoyed everything. Tourists were in the... More

Traditional Andalusian bar with great food. You can order tapas, half rations or full rations which is great as you can really mis the plates. Must try the salmorejo......fantastic.

Finally found this recommended restaurant having wandered around the maze that is Marbella Old Town and we were not disappointed! Fantastic and traditional atmosphere, great tapas and excellent house red. This was one of those fabulous evenings when everything was excellent.

Coming to Marbella we wanted to find a place that had authentic Spanish tapas. We got recommended this little gem. It is hard to find as it's in a narrow alleyway opposite another little Spanish bar. The restaurant is small but full of character with pictures and memorabilia. The waiter didn't have an English menu but was great at explaining... More

Great food, great wine, great prices. Typically Spanish get there early to get a seat! We were surprised to see such a small place so busy and typically Spanish. At €2.5 per tapas plate you can't go wrong.
