We had read about the place in TripAdvisor and must say that we we not disappointed. The place is packed at 1500 so make sure you come early around 1400. They have great English service, seemed they have improved when you read the past reviews. Menu's were multi lingual. The place is very clean and beautiful. We returned a second... More

We visited between Christmas and New Year so it was completely off season for this time of year. Having said that, the food was still very good. We had the gambas pil pil to start which was excellent and the grilled sea bass and dorada for mains. The fish is grilled very simply with olive oil and lemon on the... More

I'm a regular visitor to Marbella and I always try to eat at La Lonja at least once. They have the freshest produce, cooked to perfection. All staff are very nice and welcoming, and make us feel at home. As mentioned in previous reviews, La Lonja is very popular with locals, which is always a good sign. We're already looking... More

We were a group of 7 and we came across this restaurant just by the beach. It was packed so we weren't sure if they would attend us. A waiter came up to us and pulled out a table just for us, quite surprised as the place was full. The menu is in both Spanish and English (I think german... More

Whenever we are in area our first port of call is always La Lonja. The waiter always remembers us and the service is fast, efficient and charming. We usually go for the "Sea salad a delicious mix of ceviche (fish cooked in lemon), tomatos and lettuce. Also delicious is the "Pulpo a la gallega" (octopus a la plancha on a... More

Sat down for lunch thinking this would be a nice place to eat at. Unfortunately, it was not. Service was slow and not very friendly. We had to ask for everything twice. Food was nothing special and a bit fatty. The last straw was when we asked for the check and had to wait 20 minutes. My husband had to... More

Looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday lunchtime. We walked past all the seafront, touristy type places and then stumbled on La Lonja. It was full of locals - always a good sign. We had seafood salad and deep fried anchovies (recommended by our very helpful waiter - there aren't many places where they'll say, "if you don't like... More

We are frequent visiors to Marbella but have never visited the restaurant before. We had such fantastic food we returned twice in 5 days. Great service and very helpful staff. It was really busy on both occasions and the waitor managed to set up another table for us. We found it to be great quality and very reasonably priced.

I was visiting Marbella the first time in my life and was very excited about it. This restaurant was recommended to me through my friends who have lived in Marbella for couple of years. After we came to the restaurant we were approached by the waiter who didn't sound very welcoming. We were shocked when he asked as right on... More

hello, 2 years back it was a good restaurant. Now, it has become a normal restaurant with a very bad service (specially the master waiter) who asked us to leave. Very rude. The prices are high and are as high as in fine dining. The food has also gone low in quality. Once, one of our favorite places but now... More
