What a fantastic Tapas bar. We asked our hotel receptionist where would they eat and they recommended this place. it's in the old part of Marbella down a narrow alley but once found, a real gem! Menu is in Spanish but the young man serving us spoke good English. He explained everything to us. The food was delicious and very... More

We are foodies and have been to well over 50 restaurants in Andalucia in the past 2 years. This is our favorite tapas restaurant so far. Great selection and great taste! Great for families with little kids too. And very affordable. The atmosphere is not great but with food this good no one cares!

Found this after trying to find a traditional tapas restaurant in Marbella. Took us a while to find as hidden in the authentic streets of Old Town, and we are a bit rubbish at map reading, but well worth the effort. Food was amazing and service was exceptional. Unfortunately we don't speak Spanish and as the menu was completely in... More

I've been visiting Spain for 28 years now and love tapas, this was genuinely the best I've had... All fresh, extremely tasty and great value. The restaurant itself and staff are all fantastic and all that you need... I'd recommend the albondigas, langoustine pil pil, calla ares and the pork in tomato sauce and also the Shiraz was lovely. Will... More

Although a year since we last visited, we were greeted like long lost friends by Alfonso (the owner) and the ever efficient Jonathan. Here you can not only see some of the dishes in the cold cabinet, but see it being cooked just at the side of the bar. No matter what your choice is, the food never fails to... More

El Estrecho was recommended to us by the guy at our hotel. Once we found it, we went back three times!! The tapas was lovely, even the one with tripe in it, which I tried just for the hell of it. It is a family owned bar and the lads behind the bar are friendly and very welcoming. They even... More

Another successful visit to el estrecho on our annual trip to marbella. This is a cute little restaurant down a narrow alleyway which serves terrific tapas. Try the prawns pil pil, chorizo in wine, calamari, rosado and some lovely salads. All washed down with a decent house wine and at an absolutely fantastic price. Well worth a visit :)

Visited this restaurant 3 times in May . The staff take time to explain menu and do so with good humour. The menu is quite extensive and it is definitely worth experime nting with different dishes but the Rosada in a light lemon batter is a must. The restaurant itself is relaxed and cosy with a good mix of locals and... This is a great little bar down a narrow alley which serves tapas, drinks, and fino. Ever popular with locals and tourists alike. We also enjoy going in for a pre-dinner drink and a chat.

It was a big task to find this place and it took us a while to find it. But all the searching was worth it. We ordered pretty much everything on the menu. The gambas pil pil were so good that we had to order them 4 times. Everything is fresh and super hot from the kitchen. The service is... More
