Lovely secret

Unassuming traditional tapas - great for a quiet lunch in the shade. Particularly liked the gazpacho, calamarez and the customer service!!

El Estrecho was recommended to us by locals for price, authenticity and quality of the tapas. This tapas restaurant is a bit hard to find as it is down a skinny, side alley, but it was worth the hunt. (El Estrecho translates as narrow or tight). The restaurant/ tapas bar is family owned and you can see their personal pride... More

Bar El Estrecho is one of those family run places that are a delight to visit. The Dad, his two sons and their families go the extra mile to welcome you. They have a varied menu with all the Andalusian favourites. Try the calimari. Really good place to visit more than once.

We loved the food, especially the garlic shrimp which were delicious; and drinks were cheap. And for once, the wait staff was nice! We wanted to go back but did not find the time.

I would like to give this bar a 2 1/2 as 3 seems to high yet it was not as bad as poor. There is an attempt at decor - a little dismal, my sangria was good, the food perhaps a little better than poor (depending on what is ordered) to average. If this is 'typical' Andalucian fare to some,... More

So we ordered way too much food but enjoyed it. Even ordering toouch and some wine we only spent about 20 euros! Shrimp pil pil, ham croquettes, lemon chicken, they were all amazingly good. there are very few tables. The location was great down a little side alley in the old historic district of marbella. We went back for a... More

It might not look like the fanciest restaurant or bar but the food is really good, the staff very nice (they also speak English) and friendly. It is located in a very narrow street (hence the name "El Estrecho" I guess). The wines are very good and very reasonably priced (I was tempted to have a bottle "to go"). The... More

El Estrecho is "the place" to go if you want to drink good wine and taste traditional tapas. The atmosphere is great as well. Do not miss it if you go to Marbella!

Very small old stone alley in Old Marbella, where you will find this typical Spanish Bar with few tables , but good Tapas and beer and wine. We ordered the chicken liver, it was good, that is if you like liver, I do, then we had the Pil-Pil shrimps with garlic and chili pepper, it was nice but lacked the hotness... More
