Description: Chef Mauricio Giovanini produces original culinary creations at his restaurant Marbella Messina. Modern, carefully designed and glamorous, the restaurant looks to the unexpected, offering curiosities such as tomato ?yolk? or strawberry beer. The menu changes continuously according to season, but always features handmade pastas and a tasting menu with dishes such as ceviche with transparent lime peel and fizzy lime juice mousse, or pan-fried tuna terrine with coconut milk ?caviar?. The wine list features plenty of interesting choices, while desserts are all homemade.

If you are looking for fine dining with high quality and spot on service...than this is your best choice in Marbella. We had the tasting menu and it was extremely good. Although it was a bit much...nevertheless we just could not stop eating. It does not have a Michelin Star..but deserves one! Much better than Skina or El Lago! Keep... More

We have had the pleasure of having dinner in Messina on various occasions, both for intimate tête à têtes and entertaining friends. Whilst it is one of the more expensive restaurants in Marbella, it is also without a doubt one of the best. The food (elegant, modern and exquisitely prepared) and service (attentive, knowledgable, accomodating and never without smile) can't... More

Have been very lucky to eat in gourmet restaurants throughout the world, and without doubt Messina is the best one. The food is delicious, adventurous, and incredibly tasty. And the service and ambience is just superb. Never go to Marbella without visiting Messina

After calling around and meeting a very professional staff member, (Pia wife of the chef and part owner) the restaurant was booked out but we did get a call later for a cancellation. What luck on our 25th wedding anniversary. This is one of the best meals that we have both have had in a long time. The service was... More

Here is my 2 cents on Restaurante Messina -- 2 cents because that is all I have left after paying the bill. The total bill for two was $253.00 including a $25.00 tip. Now that that is out of the way, I can say this is one of the tastiest dinners we have had in a long, long time. From... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our food - well cooked, tasty and interesting. Would recommend the pud in particular - chocolate and sherry mousse with orange and Cointreau ice cream....! The amuse bouche was fun "stage 1 collage". But as the name implies, a tad affected. Flavors not perhaps as interesting as the rest of the meal. Great fun watching the rest to the... More

Having been here 2 years ago we thought we would venture back again, it was still fantastic but it seemed to lack the extravagent experiences from before, however if we looked at it as if we had never been before it was still great. The amuse buche were all very interesting and the waitress/maitre d' explained it all in perfect... More

We visited the Messina on my Birthday, having found it the best restaurant on our last visit to Marbella. We. We're not disappointed everything was superb. They are not just serving great food but giving a fantastic experience with superb service and something a lot different to your normal restaurant. We look forward to returning on our next visit.

Having read the reviews on Tripadvisor, we really wanted to try this restaurant, and we were not disappointed. Fortunately they had just got a cancellation when we arrived, so we got a table even though we hadn't made a reservation. We chose the tasting menu and were led through a wonderful experience of new and different delicious tastes by very... More
