Worth A Return Trip

We discovered La Cosmopolita on a recent wander around Malaga city centre on Friday night. The menu is simple with plenty of meat and fish dishes. Our meal of pork lion, serve rare, and slices of fried potatoes was delicious. This in itself is worth a return trip. The menu is expensive but this... read more

Off the beaten track, but well worth the visit. This was a culinary highlight of our trip to Malaga! The service and food were out of this world. I wish we had found it sooner as we would have gone back.

The quality of the food in this place is much better than at the other restaurants nearby. The food is fresh and simple but it is not booring. The food is little bit more expensive here but I dont think it is too much because the food is really good. I also loved the decoration in this place. If you... More

We had an wonderful dinner at La Cosmopolitan during Holy Week. We stopped by earlier in the evening and reserved a table for a bit later. When we arrived, they promptly sat us at a nice table outside. The restaurant was filled with locals enjoying a holiday meal with family and friends. Unfortunately, I can only remember one of the... You are well advised to reserve here as it gets really busy later in the evening. Seating is available inside and out and at the bar. Helpful and friendly, and efficient waiters will talk you through menu and make suggestions and the sommelier will find as he did for us, an excellent house rioja for 16 euros . The chef... More

We stumbled upon this cosy restaurant having fought off numerous street-botherers for other establishments. It was full of locals enjoying a drink after work (or siesta?) The staff were friendly and welcoming. Being English and stupid, I found the menu a bit confusing but the food we ended up with was delicious and the local wine exceptional.

We stumbled across this place after getting fed up with being nabbed by touts on the main tourist streets. It's just off the main tourist routes and well worth the search. The first attraction is the genuinely friendly attitude of the staff, very helpful and enthusiastic about their menu. We had a 1kg Steak between 2 and the other had... More

We had lunch here with two friends who know more about Spanish cuisine than my husband and I. The menu was unusual and it took a while to decide what to have. In the end we had the iberico bellota to share with a salad. Our friends then had the partridge stew which they said was excellent. We opted for... More

We came upon this restaurant by chance, actually on the hunt for something else This restaurant isn't on the main "touristy" area (but not far away). Consequently it is a bit more like what I think a traditional Spanish restaurant would be and not polished up for the tourists. One thing was immediately apparent. Even though the staff were not... Had a great lunch in the november sun on the outdoor terrace. Great value for money and I was also very impressed with the quality of the food. We were 3 and had the fried fish with smashed eggs ( boquerones con huevo ) , the fried seaplant called ortiguilla , which is crunchy on the outside and gelatinous inside... More
