Awesome tapas

In our typical fashion, we asked the waitress to choose four of her favorite tapas and that's what we ate for dinner. All of them were fantastic and she was happy to help us choose our dinner. We visited their second branch at the junction of Calle Zegri and Alcazabilla. The service was friendly and helpful but not pushy, albeit a little inexperienced and uncoordinated. The cold food - salads and jamon with melon was very nice but the cooked food pretty poor. I had Rosada fish which I'd expected as a fillet but proved to be... More

We ate at the other branch of La Plaza in Calle Alcazabilla near the Teatro Romano on two evenings. There was a great atmosphere outside and wonderful views of the floodlit Teatro Romano and entrance to the Alcazaba behind it. On both occasions the service was friendly and efficient and we enjoyed picking a selection of tapas to share with... More

We have eaten at La Plaza a couple of times in the past so knew what to expect - and it didn't disappoint! Firstly, a great location to watch the world go by with plenty of shade from the fierce sunshine. After choosing a couple of our favourite dishes from our previous visits, the lovely Carolina gave us a few... More

It gives you the impression of being a restaurant mostly for tourists, and it probably is, but the tapas are nonetheless divine. Excellent, excellent, excellent!

We had the the mojito's. Liked the spicy topping very much. We didn't foresee it would make the world spin already after one glass :-) So after the four tapas, which were great(!) we ended with the pear tart and Marocon tea. If I knew this excists back at home I would visit very very often!! By the way...great staff!

I visited this place around 8 times to work. It's an excellent place for that with a nice view on one of the best squares in Malaga. Beside great wifi :) all the food and drinks on the menu are really good! The staff was very friendly, especially Valentin. I'll definitely come back here if I visit Malaga again.

First thing we noticed was that there were a lot of veggie tapas. The service was good. The food was good and it was cozy sitting on a terrace at the Plaza de la Merced.
