A restaurant serving tapas with a difference

There are plenty of restaurants in Malaga, and they all look good. However, it was the picture of the garlic prawns sizzling in an earthenware dish that swayed me and I was not disappointed. We had the best seafood paella we've eaten, the garlic prawns were everything I'd hoped for and a goat's cheese and apple salad was a refreshing... More

Fenne the guide from our bike tour suggested we'd go to La Plaza for lunch if we wanted some good food, boy was she right. No pre prepared dishes but outstanding made to order 'tapas'. Try the lamb, ribs or one of the many vegetarian options, all equally fresh and tasty and not (as often encountered) drenched in olive oil.... More

There is a lot of choice of restaurants in Malaga. We gave this one a go to have dinner with freinds as there is a good choice of food for both Veggies and omnivores. The food was well presented and tasty and the waiter helpful when ordering - perhaps too helpful and there may have been some things lost in... More

Friendly staff, good food, excellent Cava at just €12 per bottle. We went back the day after we first ate there - we were greeted like old friends and given a free bottle :) There was a fun piano player and singer there on Saturday night. Sit outside and look at the town with the cathedral and alcazaba lit up... More

We had lunch for two persons. Very Nice and recommended tapas, but the service is poor. First mistake; the waiter forgot what we ordered and came back 5 min later to Ask. Second mistake; out of three tapas dishes, just one arrived, the two others were forgotten. Third mistake; after waiting 15 minutes for return coins, I needed to go... More

I went to try this, as it had a good rating on Tripadvisor - I was not disappointed! The service was great, they spoke English well, and asked several times if everything was all right. It's placed just 3 minutes from the shopping-street, on a cozy square, with plenty of other restaurants and cafes. But, you have to go to... More

We loved this bar so much we ended up here 4 times during our holiday in Malaga. The Tapas is fantastic and beautifully presented, they are quite big portions too so we only had to order 2 or 3 each for an evening meal. The drinks were great and the location in a large courtyard was perfect for sitting watching... More

Pleasant position beside Roman theatre. Good variety of food all day & sufficient variety to please vegetarian daughter.

The food and service at La Plaza was so wonderful we went back again the next day! It's a perfect place for some afternoon sun, however there are lots of umbrellas if you prefer the shade.
