Great veggie burger, okay pasta

Went with my partner - she had a veggie burger which was great value and a decent dinner, I had the pasta with mixed veg, was okay, not enough to fill me up. The service was very good. We had two long island ice teas, they contained a bit too much cola. Overall well worth a visit as is in... read more

Sandwiched between a dozen other tapas bars and restaurants in the Plaza de la Merced, this restaurant offered a small menu of tapas and regular food. We had the fusilli pasta and spaghetti wtih shrimp. The fussili was simply prepared with zucchini, spinach and olives in an olive oil sauce, the combination was delicious and very light. The spaghetti with... More

La Plaza is an alright place for an inexpensive meal, but, in my opinion, not anything wonderful by any means. We ate dinner on the outdoor plaza and we're interrupted multiple times during our meal by people asking to shine our shoes (I was wearing converse all stars...no shining necessary), asking for money for music, etc. it just became irritating.... Tasty, fresh homemade food with great service and friendly talkative waiter for surprisingly cheap prices. We tried only 2 tapas and drinks but both of them were greatly prepared. Can't wait to go back and try some more dishes, especially the hamburgers looked great.

After hungrily patrolling our way through the streets of Malaga, we went to The Plaza De La Merced and seen a monster of a burger being brought out .... being the philistines that we are as British tourists we had to give it a try. The location is perfect and quite at any time of the day. We ordered the... More

This restaurant probably has the best location in Málaga on a sunny day. It's a calm square with just enough people passing to make the place feel alive but not at all crowded. We were given menus quickly, they were very easy to read in both Spanish and English. Everything seemed delicious, but we finally decided on the garlic bruschetta,... More

La Plaza is a wonderful place on old but touristy Plaza Merced. We were taken there as part of a tapas tour (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g187438-d3367699-Reviews-Guided_Gourmet_Tapas_Tours-Malaga_Costa_del_Sol_Province_of_Malaga_Andalucia.html), and went back a second time on our own. Everything is made fresh that day. There are two sides, one more formal dining, and the other more casual for tapas, but they share the kitchen and menu.... More

The location of La Plaza is excellent. We visited it on a cold december night but everybody could appreciate the beauty of the terrace with views over the obelisk on the Plaza de la Merced. Well inside the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and that is always a good first impression. That gets imedietly spoiled my the tacky menue.... More

We stopped for lunch, since it had sun, and it was a bit chilly in the shades. The food and wine was very good, and the best we had in Malaga. A bit pricey, but it was worth it
