La Plaza restaurant is located in the most interesting Plaza in Malaga and lives up to its high rating on Trip Advisor. We visited during Semana Santa and the Plaza was heaving, but we found a table and received excellent service. We had main course meals for 2 (Moroccan Lamb Shank and Pan Cooked Sea Bream) and a decent bottle... More

On a recent trip to Malaga we were mooching around one evening trying to find somewhere to eat to satisfy each member of our group of five. Some wanted something to pick at, others something more substantive. We stumbled upon La Plaza which seemed to offer something for everyone and the qulaity and range of the food did not disappoint.... More

Having visited Malaga for a short break with friends last weekend, we accidentally stumbled across La Plaza and were really glad we did. Although we hadn't stopped by here specifically to eat, the staff couldn't have done any more to look after out group with owner Robert going out of his way to welcome us and to keep us entertained.... We ate here twice on a recent trip to Malaga. The menu was a little different from other ones nearby and they make there own bread and pastry. We tried 4 dishes from the tapas selection, my partner fell in love with the onion tart, but to be fair you couldn't fault, the mini chicken fillet hamburger, falafel and the... More

The food here was consistently good but, unfortunately, the service didn't always match that. If they sort out the service, it would be a perfect place to eat. Some have said it is 'pricey' but we didn't find it so.

On a short break we visited this place for lunch twice and dinner once. We enjoyed it all. Great position facing the square and totally pedestrianised and also South facing to soak up the sun. The tapas selection is superb and of a very high quality. La Plaza well deserves its elevated position on TV Service was brilliant so nothing... More

Stumbled upon this restaurant: two components, to the right a very pretty sit-in restaurant and to the left a tapas bar. The food types can be mixed & matched and is exquisite throughout: over four days we tried most combinations and were never disappointed! A special commendation to one of the waiters, Juanjo, he was extremely attentive, knowledgeable and hard... More

We ate at la Plaza on 11th March in the evening and had an enjoyable meal. The service was a bit haphazard with only one waiter in the restaurant but the food was good and good value for money. They catered for Gluten free with no problem at all. It wasn't the best meal we had in Malaga but it... More

Went to this Restaurant on 21st February 2014 with some friends. We had the menu del Dia, which is all inclusive and the very best we have ever had. We live in Spain so have these lunches regularly. The food was superb, beautifully presented even though very low cost. The service was also excellent, with such friendly and helpful waiters... More
