Although it is in the touristy bit, the food and ambience is really good. They have a modern approach to the classic tapas.

We were in La Plaza for 'Menu del Dia'. It was really nice regional soup, morrocan beef with couscous and pie for desert. Really great meal for 10euros/person. As the restaurant was full only time of service make it only a very good, not perfect visit.

Lovely food! Spanish food is often quite bad, doesn´t taste anything and very unhealthy. I found this little pearl by Tripadvisor and took there my daughter, she is vegetarian. We went here on our second night after reading some of the reviews. Great atmosphere in Plaza Merced and the food coming out of the kitchen looked great. I would have given this restaurant an excellent but for the very slow service on our second visit.
