Fantastic tapas with atmosphere

This is a well established and very popular bar with the locals. It has a well regarded restaurant but we only had tapas a few times and they were excellent. Ask about the specials and look at the seafood selection. They have a wide choice of food, order slowly, drink some good wine and stand or... read more

This is a well established and very popular bar with the locals. It has a well regarded restaurant but we only had tapas a few times and they were excellent. Just next to the bullring popular with locals fantastic main ears and tapas. Go after 9.30 as it gets busier then. Sister restaurant next to cathedral is equally good.

We arrived at this lovely restaurant at 1 o,clock on a rainy Friday and although the dining room was not quite ready we were given a seat at the bar and welcomed with a drink of choice and a dish of olives. when our table was ready they came and collected us and our drinks and lead us to a... We were a large group of business people which arrived in this gem. The starched table linen and polished glassware were the first indications that this place was hopefully going to shine. It did. Our group huddled around the bar and had plate after plate of wonderful tapas. The only slight complaint was that the manchego cheese was overly chambred... More

Great choice even vegetarians were catered for unusual in Spain. Efficient professional service, in an airy but small room crisp white tablecloths and fine wines. The staff wer interested and helpful both with our Spanish and our selection. The Creme Caramel was fantastic.

This restaurant is a must for Malaga visitors, most of its dishes are superb. In particular, I like boquerones and ensaladilla rusa, but it is also worth asking the waiter for suggestions. I also recommend sitting in the bar and sharing some dishes with the group, while enjoying some good wines or just beers. Sometimes it gets really packed. I... More

My wife and I had some precious time to ourselves last night and we wandered into El Refectorium. It was quiet because they were in between shifts but we ordered a lovely glass of Rioja and enjoyed the peace. We did not eat anything but will definitely do so on a next visit.

My wife and I wandered into this restaurant shortly after arriving in Malaga. Other than a little online research, we didn't know the city and we were just looking for a quick bite. We ordered a couple tapas from a very friendly waitress and they were excellent. So good in fact that we decided to go back for dinner. Be... More
