After discovering there are more than few vegetarian restaurants in Malaga we decided to visit the city for a dinner. La Casa del Perro and El Calafate happened to be on the same street next to each other, so we opted for the one that looked more comfy and full - La casa del Perro. The restaurant was nicely decorated... More

It's well worth seeking out La Casa del Perro (translates as The Dog's House) down a side street in the centre of Malaga. The menu is quite creative, even eccentric, but the cooking is good enough to back it up (for example courgette soup topped with bitter chocolate, which makes a surprising but successful combination). There's an interesting selection of... More

With local friends who knew the restaurant we visited 'La casa del perro' for the first time. We were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy and easy going and not the standard spanish place. The food was original and very well executed. They have small plates as well as small tapas/small starter bites. Meat, fish or... More

We visited the lovely city of Malaga in May and were taken to this restaurant by friends who live in a nearby village. They described the tapas as works of art, and they were! Eight of us enjoyed the plates of mixed tapas, and they were taste sensations. The menus were in Spanish (of course) but the beautiful owner assisted... More

After 4 attempts to eat at Casa del Perro' I was happy I had arrived and it was open and a table free. My husband and myself' arrived at 3pm for Menu del Dia and took the last table. Service was good but due to who busy it was slower than most menu del dia, but to me this time... More

Having read the reviews of this restaurant and oters on the same street I had to try it. The menus (meat, fish and vegie) seemed interesting enough so we tried a number of their dishes. More thought seems to have gone into the menu design than dish execution as each one we tried was either bland or just plain weird.... More

We went there as a result of the excellent reviews and weren't disappointed. Uniqe and tasty dishes and great service made the visit very worthwhile. The menus are in Spanish on blackboards but the friendly owner will bring an English menu to take the guess work out of it. Highly recommended.

Was just wondering around and it was lunch time, heard a bit of music and I was so glad I that I went in. This place is the best. The menu is fantastic, the tastes so unique, just the best place I have eaten at in a long time. It is not a large place, so I am sure that... More

This restaurant was a gem in the rough. We found it on a small hidden street. The menu of the day with first, second dishes and dessert was 9 euros.. The best quality and fresh food we have ever had in Spain. So happy we found it. The service was great and so were the food portions along with the atmosphere.

I love the city of Malaga, and although tempted by the many wonderful restaurants in the city, my partner and I find ourselves often returning to La Casa Del Perro, for its warm atmosphere and delicious food. Anna always makes us feel so genuinely welcomed and we return now feeling more like friends than customers. The setting is charming and... More
