I can only comment on the basis of the plate of meat and cheese and 2 glasses of rather fine red wine, but this was the best iberico ham we had all trip - really melt in the mouth with a delicious hazelnutty taste. We stopped by here on the way back to Malaga Centro from the shops near Maria... More

If you look for a really typical place where locals go you should come here, but come early or be prepared to wait. It's not cheap, though, but all is very good with dishes you might not be able to find in other places, the wine excellent, the atmosphere cheerful. Near but not really IN the centre of Malaga.

I am a regular at 'El Meson Iberico'. It is a place to be at the bar and pace yourself to taste a variety of classic spanish tapas, great seafood and meat dishes. Great selection of red wines at affordable prices. The service is impecable and the owner and his sons put their heart into it from the kitchen to... More

If you only go to one tapas bar in Malaga make sure its this one, its a little off the beaten track but well worth the 15 minute walk. Fantastic variety of tapas and great atmosphere, its best to go in the afternoon when the locals arrive for lunch. The clams and the asparagus are divine and the chorizo and... More

We were out walking and came across this place for dinner and glad we did! Full of locals, we sat at the bar for canas and tapas - it was fabulous! Wait staff we very attentive, helpful and charming:). We had some spinach croquettes, local iberian ham, lamb kabobs with fries - all were excellent! At the end of our... More

Our second visit here, first came last summer. It doesn't open till at least 830 so Brits beware not a place for an early dinner. Love the interior , new but old. Our waiter was efficient but a little surly, he was the same with other non Spanish . Food was really good we had tapas, the iberico ham (had... More

I'm a regular client. Good food, good wine, typical homemade meals from Andalousia and other regions of Spain. Not cheap, but good value for the money. The service is fast and curtous.

I always get attracted by restaurants where there is a crowd of people outside smoking especially late in the evening in Spain - then it mean that there are local people there. This place had everything I looked for; charm, great local food and good service. Like when you are looking at the menu and ask which wine to take... More

This restaurant is a bit off the beaten track, however it is well worth tracking down. When we visited I think we were they only tourists in the place. It was nice to visit a restaurant popular with the locals and they added to a great atmosphere. When we left the bar area was full and the customers were out... More
