The food was absolutely disgusting and actually quite expensive. A pile of anchovies, fried and totally unseasoned, tasted of nothing. It was indistinguishable from the aubergine, which was deep fried and had a chewy, unpleasant texture. Prawns were mushy and suspect. Service was unfriendly and they even had the cheek to charge for the bread, which was put on the table... More

Excellent tapas serviced efficiently. There is nothing to dislike about this venue unless you are looking for a leisurely meal, it's fast tapas turnaround.

If your looking for fancy cutlery and smart surroundings you will be disappointed but for truly lovely fish, cooked fresh , and with a good choice this is the place. It gets very busy around 2:30 and is a favourite with the locals. Always a good sign. I have visited twice and enjoyed the meal both times. I will return.... More

This reviews the one in the new port, so you would imagine it would be great, but no it was truly awful. We went on a sunny Sunday afternoon hoping for some nice drinks and a bit of tapas. Got shown to a table and left with one menu between 4. Waiter came over to take drinks order and we... More

We liked it a lot! Waiter was super fast and both food and wine were good. Each dish was big enough for two persons. We had a nice dinner.

We've visited Malaga and surroundings for ten days this summer. We have tried many different places where to eat, and this place turned out to be our favorite. We can eat plenty of good fish at a very good price, and have it with very good and yet affordable wines. The wines are produced bu the owner of the place,... More

I regularly go to quitapenas when I'm in the mood for fish. It's always of excellent quality and reasonably priced, a really traditional restaurant that doesn't take advantage of tourists. Must tries are the "rosada a la plancha" and the "chanquetes" and a "pincho de gambas". Definitely recommend this restaurant to any fish fan, enjoy!!!!

We went there with a Groupon ticket, at the end we had less food for a higher price than in any other "chiringuito" that you can find on the Costa del Sol. The food was poor, without any taste, except for the squids that were acceptable. Also the service could be better, the waiters were quite unfriendly.
