Delicious, authentic Moroccan

After two weeks of tapas we needed a break. Our meal at Al-yamal was the perfect respite. We had the lamb kebab, humus and paprika salad. The humus is made fresh to order and comes with fresh, warm pita bread. All the entrees were delicious. For main we shared vegetable cous cous and chicken... read more

Found this from tripadvisor. Some portions were quite small compared to price. Food was good but didn't hit my sweet spot. Chairs were a little uncomfortable.

Very small and cozy restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Tasty food and even some nice vegan options. More expensive than most other restaurants in Malaga, but definitely worth it.

You know when you are being cheated by so called international cuisine restaurants at home. This aint one of them. This restaurant gives u a very friendly service and food is really made in care. What a great way to bring Moorish heritage back to life. Very cozy. I recommend lamb with couscous and beef kebabs. The food is soooo... More

I think one intriguing part of Andalusia is the moorish heritage, and Al Yamal was recommended to us as the best Arabic restaurant in town. The food is impeccable and it was great atmosphere. Well worth checking out!

After many days with fusion tapas, we wanted to try out something ells . After checking TA, this cozy and small restaurant did not disappoint us. Welcoming staff with good explanation of the menu. We went for his recommendations and are now both really full and happy. The hummus was so delicious but the best surprise was the mixed cous... More

Service was excellent- the server brought us a little of everything. It was all delicious, right down to the sweet mint tea at the end of the meal. A pricier option than tapas bars, but well worth it!

This is a different dining experience after lots of tapas everyday! It is simple Moroccan type food served by friendly staff. It is very expensive compared to other restaurants .

The service was very warm and friendly. The red wine from Tunis was good and every dish was wonderfully prepared. The hummus was creamy, the chicken tagine had many flavours, the lamb Al-Kasbur was succulent, and the Keftas were flavourful and came with fresh salad.

We wanted to eat something different than Spanish food and therefore chose Al-Jamal. Service was very friendly, suggested a nice menue sampling many different dishes. All dishes were explained very well. Would visit this again when next time in Malaga.
