The service was very warm and friendly. The red wine from Tunis was good and every dish was wonderfully prepared. The hummus was creamy, the chicken tagine had many flavours, the lamb Al-Kasbur was succulent, and the Keftas were flavourful and came with fresh salad.

We wanted to eat something different than Spanish food and therefore chose Al-Jamal. Service was very friendly, suggested a nice menue sampling many different dishes. All dishes were explained very well. Would visit this again when next time in Malaga.

Usually I eat the local food when abroad but I had read about Al Jamal and wanted to try it as I love Morocco and Moroccan food. I was not disappointed! The restaurant is small, cosy and the owner is welcoming. The menu is small and limited but this usually means that the chef knows how to cook the offerings... More

Came here with my family on the basis of reviews I read and we were really not disappointed. The chicken tagine was really tender and delicious. The couscous was aromatic and tasty. We had mint tea with orange blossom essence which together with the pastries were a lovely end to a very nice meal. Service was very good and the... More

Visited this Malaga restaurant recently after reading some of the reviews from other visitors and was disappointed. When entering we found we were the only diners on this lunch time but decided to stay and give it a try. Ordered salad which was small and nothing special, chicken tagine was next this was small with two pieces of drumsticks, we... More

We had the pleasure of visiting Al-yamal for a late lunch. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and the food was really nice prepared. The food is a welcoming break to the usual "fried fish" in the region. Really worth a visit if you want to try something different. It might be a good idea to book a table since... More

Went here on Valentine's Day after reading reviews on TA. Booked the night before and managed to get a table for 7:30pm. Bit early for some but we prefer to eat earlier. Only 6 tables so can imagine difficult to get in sometimes. Very cosy inside, owner was very welcoming. There was one other couple in there but by the... More

We visited this delightfull place after consulting Tripadvisor, and was very happy that we did so. The food was wonderful, however slightly more spicy than marrocan food normally is. - but very tasty. We had tagine with lamb/chicken - both were great. As starters we shared humus, shish kebab and a grilled pepper salad, all perfectly made. Only one of... More

If you are looking for a good halal restaurant then this is the place to eat at Malaga. We had Harrira and Chicken couscous. Both were delicious and filling. A little expensive but well worth it. My daughter who is sometimes a picky eater really enjoyed their food
