Nothing special

Another restaurant in Malaga with OK food and in my experience quite poor service. The gazpacho and other tapas dishes were all very average accompanied by service without a smile. I also disliked the bread charge.

The food was quite good but there is an extra hidden cost of 1,5 euro per person for the bread you did not touch and the "dressing of the table". Where I come from this is called fraud. Others might find it to be ok though.

we had drinks and three tapas dishes which we chose rather than what they decide. Cod, sausage, octopus really fresh and decent size portions. Wine was fabulous by the glass white and dry. Waitress was very professional and even changed our plates for clean ones after the first tapas dishes.

We just wanted a snack so ordered a large plate of old cheese and another of Iberico ham to share, and a glass of wine. The quality of the lean ham was good, but the bread was very dry and heavy, a real shame when it would have made the snack meal excellent.

First night in Malaga ever and there are restaurants aplenty in every direction and the 4am start meant a quick decision was required and despite nobody else in the restaurant and plenty at others around it we plumped for this one. It did seafood and meats and was a fairly safe choice. Nice croquettes to share to start and a... More

Went there a couple of times on our recent visit to Malaga. First time the Meal was distinctly average but the second time it was very good. The serving staff are OK - providing you have the right member of staff! On our first visit, the female who took our order ended her shift shortly afterwards and our order was... More

We visited Strachan on our first night in Malaga. My wife chose fish, dorada, and I chose a ceasar salad. My wifes fish was good, but my ceasar salad was pretty bad. It was absolutely covered in a dressing, I just ate the chicken and and a few bits of salad that didn't have dressing on. We shared a cream... More

We went to Strachan, and we liked it so much, we went back a couple of days after again. The waitors could recognize us, and we felt very welcome again. The food is also good, but could be better. Definitely worth a visit!

We stumbled upon this restaurant just after arriving in Malaga and looking for a place for lunch. We found most of the food average, although we did really enjoy the tomato, mozzarella and avocado salad. The rest of the food, some light tapa (patatas bravas and sausages) were just average. While the wait staff was friendly, accommodating and spoke English,... More
