La Rada is a long established fish restaurant in Estepona, on the road facing Estepona beach and the sea with views towards Gibraltar and Africa. It is overrated now, the prices not particularly inexpensive, the wines priced at average levels (i.e. 400% mark up) but the fish is very good, provided you stick to whole fish. Avoid at all costs... Whenever in Estepona/Marbella, this is definitely our favourite for laid-back seafood lunches - the freshest of local fish & crustacea and succulent 'Arozzes' & Paellas. Our typical choice: Coquinas (small sweet mussels), Pulpo a la Gallega, Boquerones al limon (open face fresh anchovy with lime), Calamaritos fritos y a la plancha (baby calamari fried and/or grilled), Urta al horno (lemon... Good Estepona restaurant. Being able to sit outside is nice and bizarrely not that common in a place with a wonderfully temperate climate. The waiters can be a bit snooty but the fish is very fresh and very good and wine not unreasonable. They have some silly wine but very good basics like Albariño which although far from top of... The €12 daily menu is extensive and the portions generous. We had the fish soup and dorada for starter and main courses. All was well cooked and delicious. The mango mousse was excellent as was the coconut cake. You can choose a coffee instead of dessert. The seating outside gets noise from the main raid but the view of the... More

I went here with my mum(who raves about the place) and my daughter. It was a quiet night, so no need for such slow service. The food was good, but the service, atmosphere and cigarette burned linen was not so good....it tends to have clientele that's older and posher. I expected better given its reputation...

We ate here on our first night in Estepona mainly because it was the only restaurant that was open at the time. The food was good, especially the fish stew I had, monk fish cooked very well. The service was good, however we were the only customers in at the time. For me the only down side was the main... More

I must say that I was a bit skeptical after reading the review, but 3 of our group of 7 stumbled on this restaurant one day. They raved about it. On and on about the food, service, view - everything. So, for our last dinner before leaving the area, 5 of us went back. I must say, the service was... More

Looks great until you sit down. Admittedly it was a busy summer night but there were loads of staff and nobody getting served. Dreadful. Little tapas bars off the main drag are a much better choice. This place is expensive and badly run. We walked out after waiting 40 minutes for starters and 20 minutes for drinks - and we... More

We sat down ready to have a nice meal but found the service absolutely dreadful. We had three waiters approach us in about 20 minutes having already waited around 15 to be served only two out of four ordered drinks. Waiter was not apologetic when we left and instead shouted we had no patience. Needless to say, we paid the... More
