We read a recommendation in Lonely Planet and we are quite puzzled. We even ordered one of the same 'delicious' dishes. What we found was a noisy family restaurant, poor plastic interior and horrible food. Both the tapas and the larger dishes were tasteless and boring. Seemed like microwave ready meals. The only positive thing is the low price.

This restaurant is well worth a visit - great value wine and tapas, wide choice, and all of it delicious. The curried chicken with rose marie sauce in particular is worth ordering. The service was very good. Get there close to opening time to get a table quickly.

This was just around the corner from our hotel and we turned up when they opened at 9 p.m. Just as well as seats were quickly filled. One man band and he worked pretty hard getting round all the patrons. Not super glamorous but fun. Wine 1. 50 a glass! We tried a meat patty with almond sauce, aubergines gratinee,... More

I really enjoyed our tapas meal here. 8 of us came in and ordered a whole lot of tapas, all of which came out piping hot and quickly! I especially enjoyed their take on the chickpeas and spinach dish, and their patatas bravas were among the most flavorful I had in Spain. Two other standouts were the mushroom pasta and... More

Apparently the translation of the restaurant's title is "Fat Feeds You." (I added the exclamation mark.) Whether that's accurate or not, I can say that this restaurant was a very reasonably priced for the food. We ordered medium-sized tapas (are they called tapas when they're medium-sized?) and were able to share them amongst a group of eight travelers. The bill... More

A very good place where I could eat "tapas" and drink "jarras" of cruzcampo, everything was very veeeery cheap! The most important and well-know place in Cadiz! "El alma de Andalucia" :)

Really great tapas dishes for a very good price (2 Euros each), so grab yourself 2 or 3 each and share. Great value and great selection. Also, a pretty good vibe in there as it gets busy.

My expereince with this restaurant was not as good as others. Compared to other tapas restaurants we had been to (and ones we went to after) the food at this restaurant was average. It had a cool vibe and was very busy but some of the dishes we ordered just were not as flavourful as others and the tomatos in... More

You can enjoy traditional tapas and new tapas in a modern enviroment with good music and in the old part of the city close to main sightseeings. Great variety of tapas

I went to this restaurant as a college student looking for a cheap and good lunch. They did not disappoint. After losing myself trying to find the place (it was my first time in Cadiz, give me a break!), I found a place at the bar and ordered a few tapas. All were great and all came reasonably quickly. My... More
