Real Andalusian tapas!

The real Andalusian tapas, simple but very tasty and cheap. Lots of meat, try the albondigas with pepper sauce. Busy place, nice personnel.

We returned to Cumbres Mayores after a 4 year absence to discover the place is still thé place to 'tapear' in Cádiz. A great menu full of good priced tapas, a lively bar to eat them at and a helpfull staff to guide you through the tapas. Favorites tonight were the diablillos, pincho chorizo and the albondigas Roquefort.

The food here was cooked to perfection and everything had great flavour. Four of us eat and we all enjoyed what we had. Whilst we had some difficulty finding it, everyone we asked had heard of the place and pointed us in its direction which showed us that was going to be a good choice.

This restaurant has a very traditional feel about it and is obviously very popular with both residents and visitors. The front area of the restaurant is a tapas bar and the food there looked very good. We ate in the restaurant area to the rear of the bar. Service was good and food portions sizes were generous. The menu had... More

We always make a point of eating here when on holiday in nearby Conil de la Frontera. Unbelievably good food at very reasonable prices, friendly and attentive staff. Difficult to find anything to fault here. Very popular with locals, and extremely busy, but the staff are aware, and will spot you. The difficulty is choosing from the extensive menu. You... More

An authentic tapas bar and restaurant in a great location. An impressive tapas menu (eat in the bar) and a full menu in the more formal dining area. Friendly and helpful staff. A great choice of tapas, wines and beers at very reasonable prices. If I could transport this bar back home I would be a very happy permanent resident,

Nice restaurant with Spanish atmosphere. Very good food and wine. Unfortunately, poor Serving staff, uninspired and served not the food, but threw the food to us at the table. With nicer staff this restaurant had been a gem

Bar and restaurant, just off Plaza de Mina that's always busy with locals and tourists. Has a small restaurant area for "racions" and "tapas" portions served at the bar. Food is very good quality, typically Spanish, and consistent. Service was also very good. We visited twice; once in the restaurant and once at the stool tables outside. Portions are big... More

Sometimes in these very real, authentic places where all the locals eat the staff can be a bit stuffy with out of towners, but here they are extremely welcoming and friendly. The albóndigas are the best I've found in Cádiz and they have a huge selection of cuts of pork, from cheek, tongue, neck, shoulder - too many to mention.... More

Just returned from an 11-day trip through Andalucia - we ate very well all along, but grazing on the amazing tapas at Meson Cumbres Mayores was our favorite meal of the trip. Food was outstanding and our waiter/bartender was not grumpy at all! Definitely try the Secreto Iberico - delicious. This place is atmospheric with dozens of jamones hanging from... More
