located on the Fontanilla beach near the west end of Conil. there is another restaurant that joins this one called Fontanilla which is a little bit cheaper. the quality of food and vararity is very good and it fills up quickly around midday at weekends so better to reserve if there are a lot of you going for a meal.... We're repeat customers for many years. Every time we're near the coast it's a must visit. Always excellent. Shellfish is always outstanding and the rice with Carabineros is fantastic.

Had lunch here, and it was very busy. However the service was good and the food excellent. We would recommend.

We had paella seafood but the small lobster was a bit raw, i got diarea afterwards. Futhermore tmy son had steak which was not medium but more well done. The setting is nice but the service is ok but you will be served by more tnan 4 different waiters. Not a place to go again.

This restaurant, the spot on the beach. Very good fish restaurant. They are too busy to give you some good attention. But the food is good. Tuna fish Tatar is not brilliant, tomatoes and advocados are not part of this dish. Sorry to say, it was hard to find the Tuna. Sunset awesome!

As others have already said, this is not a chiringuito anymore but a proper restaurant right on the beachfront. And what a view! It is lovely and well worth a meal here just to enjoy the ambience. This establishment really does look the part with photos and memorabilia scattered about of what it and Conil used to be like in... More

I've been back to Francisco a couple of times recently. In July and August, these beach restaurants may be best avoided because it is something of a war zone. They (I include La Fontanilla) are desperately busy and service is, at best, hurried. If you can put up with that, the food continues to be excellent. The thing about Francisco... More

But not many restaurants are open now. Francisco is the exception. Most people are now eating inside. I had an excellent sea-food snack there today as the photos show. The giant prawns (langostinos) could have done with another minute on the grill but that is a minor quibble. I'm coming to the conclusion that this is THE place for sea-food... More

I have reviewed Francisco la Fontanilla together with its neighbour La Fontanilla. This is not a "chiringuito": it's a permanent establishment which just happens to be on the beach.

The sunset just after we arrived was spectacular. We enjoyed very good fish, seafood and meat. In our opinion it is the better of the 2 restaurants on the seafront at Playa de la Fontanilla. Recommended.
