We are on month long Spain and Portugal trip and the food has been quite inconsistent. We had an earlier meal today in Cadiz which was lousy and not cheap and then we went to Balandro... We sat at the bar and the dishes were delicious with great sauces and a great vibe..lots of selection too and prices were good... More

We stayed in Cadiz for a couple of days and we were delighted our host recommended we eat at 'Balandro' - the food is tasty and well presented, the restaurant is lively and busy, full of locals and families. The staff are very helpful and attentive. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we went back again for lunch the... More

The hotel receptionist advised us that the 2 best restaurants in Cadiz were El Faro & Balandro. She was right, we ate at them both! They have the similar menus but are both different in that one is quite traditional in decor (El Faro) and one very modern (Balandro). We plumped again for the tapas at the bar as opposed... More

The best tapas I have ever had in Spain !! There were 4 of us and we could all not agree more on how gr8 the food was. In fact we returned the night after, something we rarely do when touring on a holiday. Tapas are very creative and varied, and there are so many of them on menu that... More

My friends and I went there in Mid Summer when we took a short trip to Cadiz. Our hotel recommended this restaurant for us and thank them for doing it! Lovely, lovely place, well located too. Great menu, reasonable prices and very friendly staff.

We went 2 times to this restaurant during our week stay in Cadiz (we never go somewhere twice on a holdiday). Location is beautiful, next to the sea and it's also really nice on the inside. We had tapas there (you eat the tapas at the bar) and it was the best food we had during our roadtrip in Spain.... More

Our first night in Cadiz the hotel recommended this establishment. The staff was pleasant and our server suggested many dishes to try. My prawn salad, in which I expected shrimp and lettuce was a huge plate of potato salad covered in mayo with one prawn sliced and a chuck of artificial crab on top. Yuck. This was in fact listed... Our hotel in Sevilla recommended we visit Balandro while in Cadiz and glad we took his advice. Nice modern upmarket atmosphere over looking the sea at Cadiz. We sat at the bar and tried Rolled smoked salmon with cheese and dried fruits, bacaloa with hummus and fish roe AND fried Sea Anemones. All excellent and the fried foods are so... More
