Trendy Popular Venue

Very pleasant trendy modern restaurant which is unusual for Cadiz old town. Advisable to book and try and get seated downstairs as upstairs there are no views and lacks any atmosphere unlike downstairs. Very reasonably priced extensive menu including wines.

If there are more than two of you i'd advise booking a table or going early. We rocked up at 11ish. From the outside the place looks a bit formal, despite the v cool decor (out of place against your traditional tapas joints). Thought we'd need a reservation but as it had been recommended to us we thought we'd give... More

A stylish restaurant with a wide range of imaginative dishes at a reasonable price. What's not to like? You can take a table in the main part of the restaurant or sit round the bar, but wherever you are you'll get good service and excellent food. The atmosphere is relaxed and relaxing, the wine list is a delight. Not always... More

Nice restaurant with a good menu, lots of fish dishes to choose from. Service was friendly and attentive, pricing very reasonable. Unfortunately there is no outdoor area to sit. Overall a good experience.

I spent three great days at a wonderful hotel in Cadiz. I had one bad meal (read, food not properly prepared; being grossly overcharged. I have posted a review of it) and five very good/great ones. This place was A GREAT ONE. Sit at the bar and trust the bartender/waiter; he will not steer you wrong. I hesitate to tell... More

Balandro consistently delivers the tastiest tapas of anywhere we've been in Cadiz and we visit Cadiz several times a year. We haven't tried the restaurant but the tapas bar is always very busy and usually impossible to find a seat if you turn up after about 2.00 pm. You find a table and order from the slickly operated bar. The... More

We sat at the bar and the place was pretty packed mainly with locals... So I imagine that if you want to have a formal lunch/dinner you better make reservations. We didn't mind sitting at the bar, you get to see all the action. I'm vegetarian and I was very happy to see they marked the options on the menu.... More

We had been advised by a local person that this was the best restaurant in Cadiz and we were not disappointed. The food and service were very good. The waitress noticed that we had a small problem and came over to help before we had to look up and ask. Menu had large range of choices. table at the window... More

We were advised to book as we were eating on a Friday. We booked by phone (which was a challenge given my limited Spanish) for 8.30. We turned up a little early and were shown to our table. The reality was that it was actually 9.15 when we turned up...we were unaware that Spain was an hour ahead of Portugal... More

Have been to this eatery on three occasions all of which have been delightful. Good varied choice of food and very good quality. There's the choice of either eating tapas at the 180 degree bar or table service dining. Will always dine here whenever I visit CADIZ.
