Perfect atmosphere

We had a late lunch there yesterday. Service was good, though we found all of them to be in a rush and a tad unfriendly. Our food was okay and plentiful. I found the cigarette smoke from guests outside and standing in the door way very off putting. Though it's hard to find a place where there... read more

The terrace was lovely, orange trees and umbrellas to shade you from the sun. The beer was cold and the food was OK. There seems to be a tendency to serve chips with everything. I would have preferred more of the goats cheese and tomato salad and more of the oxtail stuffed peppers!

This place was recommended by the hotel as somewhere with a terrace where I could smoke.it was that but it was hardly a leisurely meal ! I felt hurried which was not pleasant. The fish was excellent. I was given the wrong bill. I was alone most of the time , so no atmosphere ! Not the best experience!

I would love to give this restaurant a "full house" but the waiters where much to fast and seemed to rush the courses through and trying to get a double seating or something. But... the service was great. The restaurant is very well situated 10 minutes walk from the mosque. Starters: goatcheese salad, heavenly good say no more. Main course:... More

During our afternoon strolling through Cordoba streets we spotted this place a bit away from the Mezquita area. We were looking for a change from tapas for an evening meal. Checking TA reviews confirmed our intent to try it. The centre room we were in had a great ambiance, with a lot of brick, wrought iron, and plants. We were... More

After the horse show, we went to this great place to eat dinner. We had seen it the day before and decided to go there. We hadn't booked but got in just before it filled up at 9.30 pm. The restaurant is very attractive, with an inner courtyard and covered cloister areas around it. We had very good starters, ranging... More

Monumental, ancient Cordoba has a restaurant choice that is not to par with its rich cultural and architectonic heritage. Maybe the intense tourist traffic has attuned to quick offerings with low competition. Among the finer choices recommended at the hotel and several travel guides was Puerta Sevilla. Strolling though the twisted ancient streets and just behind one of the entry... More

The inside of the restaurant is fairly "standard" Spanish, but the courtyard is truly lovely and a beautiful setting for a romantic meal "under the stars". The cuisine is hearty, fairly traditional food, and well worth trying the salmorejo (the "mother of gazpacho"). I also enjoyed the duck (pato), although it is very rich so needs to be balanced with... More

We stopped at this taberna early afternoon for a wine and short rest in the outside seating area. After visiting their loos we decided to stay and have a meal. The staff found us a table in the inside courtyard which was busy with lots of Spanish people in a couple of large groups - always a good sign if... More

We had a wonderful lunch (should really have been a dinner) based on recommendation and it was our best meal in Cordoba. It also seemed like very good value compared to some of the other places where we ate far less well but the bill racked up anyway. But we met some people who told us to avoid it as... More
