Best tasting potato omelet

We had a potato omelet bocadillo before going in the Mezquita. It was really delicious. After having that, you will never find a better tasting potato omelet anywhere in Spain.

We followed Rick Steve's recommendation to grab a plate of tortilla and a bowl of salmorejo before going to the Mezquita and that is just what we did. The food was tasty and great fuel for sightseeing. Really like the cool salmorejo with the crunchy breadsticks.

Stopped by in the early afternoon to get the obligatory tortilla and beer. The tortilla is impressive in size, but that's probably what's most exciting about it. The actual charm comes in getting to eat it on the mezquita steps outside. The server was bothered by my presence (he had been studying) but that's nothing new in Spain.

Located beside the Mezquita is Bar Santos. It is not really a bar in a conventional sense it's a small take-away that also sells beer and other drinks. What makes it special is they serve tortilla's - that's it!! But what Tortilla's , they are massive and served in a big slab. Opposite Bar Santos is the surrounding walls of... More

No trip to Cordoba is complete without a visit to Bar Santos. You cannot miss it, just follow the crowds of locals, always a good sign! This is truly amazing value for utterly exquisite tortilla de patatas, 2 euros for a thick slice, easily enough for lunch, with a beer, or a Fino sherry if you are a local. Extremely... More

This place is so tiny. Only ground level open. It was too crowded most days to access, except about 4pm 23rd April, when NO ONE inside, so we had the potato quiche and a few beers- all rather low prices for Cordoba, the potato quiche did taste more 'eggy' than other places - deeper flavour. and you do sit and... Amazing tortilla, it is worth a visit, right next to the Great Cathedral and Mosque! Grab a slice and sit on the Mesquita steps to enjoy it. One will be enough just as snack to walk around the historic centre. Highly recommended!

Was told by a co-worker to not leave Cordoba without visiting Bar Santos and trying their tortilla de patatas and a beer. The tortilla I got was just coming out and still hot. It was the most delicious one I have had in my 2 years in Spain! Price for a slice with a beer was something ridiculous, like 2€... More

The tortilla here was huge and came with 2 far bread sticks. Although I'm one of those who prefer the egg undercooked, I really enjoyed the tortilla here. The waiter wasn't very friendly but did the job. I was there around 17:00 and there was only another person in there.

Apparently famous for its massive tortillas (see picture! Apart from that, it's a tiny, typically spanish, bar. No outside space apart from the street and the mezquita steps over the road. Opened in 1966 (I think) and never updated. Worth visiting for that aspect alone with all the old pictures and newspaper cuttings around the walls
