We were staying at the Hisperia just up the road - and needed some calm after a battle with the old Cordoba one-way streets. El Mirador does not exactly turn your head from the outside, but once inside we enjoyed a very tasteful meal, nicely presented and good value for money. Definitely recommend.

Tapas plates are big, we dinned there as a group of 26. We selected different plates. Our favorites top to bottom: fried cauliflower, octopus in the Galician style, shrimp in garlic and olive oil, and potato omelette Least favorite: roasted red pepper, fried fish platter, anchovies and spicy sausage Dishes to avoid: Iberian pork loin in sauce (extremely salty) Wine:... we had the chance to try the dish of the day, which was a delicious paella input, followed by a grilled fish. In my opinion the quality of the food (we were a group of 12 people) was very good, also at that time they had great demand from other customers.

Enjoyed lots of tapas with the rest of our tour group. Can recommend the aubergines! The waiters helped to make it a fun night!

Yes, the location near the Roman bridge and the traditional house and attentive wait staff are all wonderful, but it is the food that is exceptional. A group of us enjoyed tapas after tapas in fine Andalusian style--stand-outs included the red roasted peppers with tuna, tiny shrimp in a light broth, and anchovies (don't think of American canned oily anchovies--fresh... The restaurant is conveniently located on the riverside, 200 m far from the roman brdge that gives access to the mazquita area and all the historic attractions of the town. But unlike the other restaurants nearby its prices are very honest and the atmosphere is quite of a place for locals than for tourists. The food is good and personnel... More

El Mirador is an excellent Andalusian restaurant just down the street from the Hotel Hesperia Cordoba. We dined on a massive house mixed green salad, shrimp tortillitas (thin fritters), veal steak, and duck confit with blueberries. All were excellent and portions were massive. Washed down with a bottle of Marque de Caceres wine and a bottle of mineral water, the... More
