The restaurant is well known for its great choice of tasty fish dishes (no exceptions). The landlord keeps strict discipline, but in a very friendly manner. Menu card is written in both German and English.

We called in for lunch on a rainy week day in May and were warmly welcomed by the owners. There was a choice of beers and we went for the Krusovice, which was dark and tasty - just how we like it. The fresh salad starter was exceedingly good and well above our expectations. We had the fish platter for... More

We had the day specials: 1) mussels in a simple vegetable steamed mix--a bit flat but very fresh and tasty. Great garlic brötchen. 2) The sole filet on a bed of lettuce and gratin potatoes was great. The sauce was outstanding. The house white wine was very good. Although other reviewers mentioned an eccentric owner, and we agree, the lady... More

Nice interior and a good selection of fish dishes. The owner who also serves seems to be of the opinion that he alone knows what fish is. I mean trying to "teach" a grown Norwegian some details of North Sea fishes is at the best a bit pathetic. The fish we had was quite well tasting, but almost drowning in... More

We dined here the end of Aug.2011 The fresh fish of the day was a pan fried sole that was outstanding. The owner was very gracious and service was exceptional. The decor was nautical and if you enjoy seafood visit this place.

The food, particuarly the scholle (plaice), was very good and fresh, but the meal was spoiled by the ambience (dead flowers on the table) and a very opinionated, arrogant and slow waiter (the owner). They don't take credit cards or ec-cards and there is only a choice of one red or white wine. The food is reasonably priced.

The best place we ate at in Lubeck - and we didn't even have their highly recommended fish dishes, we had asparagus soup with an egg poached in it, and that was brilliant. Good home cooking, comfortable seating, entertaining surroundings and informative host! Would go again.
