I ventured into the Brauhaus after visiting Thomaskirche. It was cold out and the Brauhaus looked very warm and inviting. When I went in the atmosphere was just that, as well as very welcoming with the initial Christmas decorations. The staff was friendly, though they were running around a lot and hard to find when I was ready to leave.... More

We went here a couple of times with our friends while in Leipzig. Our meal was reasonable and the setting attractive. My husbands beer was unfiltered so quite authentic! As a non- beer drinker, the selection was average and the house wine drinkable. Our host had recommended this place and we would be happy to also recommend as a great... More

The chicken ordered was under cooked and sent back. The same dish was the brought back with the chicken cooked again, including the strip that was cut off. At 14€ it is not what is expected, especially when you consider the implications if undercooked chicken. The positive, my partner had a lovely meal, but the service was some what lacking.

We visited restaurant on the evening after a day of sightseeing, as prices seemed to be ok for location and there were free spots. If there are only two of you, be ready to be seated with someone else. The place was quite loud, tables are quite close to each other. Service is fast but not particularly friendly. Restaurant is... Dont take anything else. People told me anything else is not good. I do not care. Every summer I gcome here for Schnitzel mit Spargel. And its great. City center, check people, have a beer and Spargel. Prizes are ok for the center. Do not miss it.

Grab an authentic German beer brewed on site. Pizza was pretty good too. The restaurant has a large covered patio to eat and people watch. Staff was friendly. English menus were available.

I know, I know... that's a statement asking for trouble. Beer is a matter of personal taste. But this locally-brewed, unfiltered, unpasturized beer is just amazing, as good or better than anything I've had in Europe or the Americas. The Pils is sweet and flavorful, and the dark beer has hints of chocolate. If you've never had an unfiltered beer,... More

Wandering around Leipzig for some food we came across the Brauhaus an der Thomaskirche - It had a large outside area and overlooked a fountain - we joked we would be paying more to sit outside and look at water - total opposite ......after looking at the menu we decided to go and get a table inside as lots of... I came here for a beer, although it is a new place, there is a traditional feel. I'm not sure all beers are to everybody's liking - I had the dark beer which some may like. The lighter beers were more up my street.

We had about 1 1/4 hours to eat and get to an event. They seemed very anxious to get us in the door. Once pointed to a distant table, we sat unattended for almost 20m and realized things weren't going to work out, so we left. Strange, because they weren't very busy. I'm not sure we missed anything by leaving.
