Went here several times. I like the Va Piano chain and the novelty is the card system, which sort of makes the restaurant self service but kids will love it! Cute deserts in little pots as well.

Decided to head over to Vapiano for dinner after reading some convincing reviews here. Upon arrival, we were handed cards which are used to pay for your meals. If you haven't tried Vapiano yet, Dresden's is one of the best as it is centrally placed and large enough to eat leisurely if you wish. Highly recommended for lovers of good Italian food, cooked whilst you wait using only fresh ingredients!

We like this restaurant because food are cooked right in front of you, fresh and tasty. Cheese cake is too cold to eat , tiramisu tastes much better.

We went there as a large group after a business meeting. It was loud, crowded, slow. The pizza came out half baked and not very tasty (thank god for the chile flakes!). This is a chain restaurant and looks exactly the same in Zurich. No character, no service. Avoid.

The good and interesting things about the restaurant are that, when ordering pasta, antipasti or salads, you can watch while preparing the food, but the food does not taste like the real Italian food.

Visited Vapiano Dresden today and was thoroughly disappointed. The staff (excluding the chefs) were friendly and helpful. Plenty of room and tables available, and the usual fresh vapiano look. I ordered tagliatelle carbonara. Sadly, the pasta was still hard having not been cooked long enough, the ham was lumps of fat and the sauce tasted of nothing but egg and... More

I have visited one of these in london. The concept is good. The food fresh. It is a chain and not very German though.
