Authentic Korean

Authentic Korean food at pretty standard prices. Ordered the Kimchi Jigae. All the side dishes were excellent... Try some mochi at the end.

The restaurant is very small but very authentic. The people were friendly and polite. It seems like a family who were cooking. It was very fast and very much. Enjoy to the fullest!

Authentic, delicious Korean food. I get the bibimbap every time because I love it so much, but I've tried a variety of other dishes that my boyfriend has ordered, and they've all been good! They always bring out the little banchan (side dishes), which are always great. I also often order the fried potstickers (they have a different name, but... More

Maru is one of the better Korean restaurants I have visited. Service is friendly and low key. They will explain items if you are not sure of what to order and they will speak English but prefer Deutsch. If you like things a bit hotter, just ask. Make reservations early, there only a few tables.

We had a delicious 3-course meal at Maru in April 2014. The bulgogi (Korean BBQ) was great and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. 3 courses for 2 people plus a bottle of wine was just over 50€, so very reasonable. We'd definitely go back.

The food, the atmosphere, the decor, the service, it is a complete experience that is made to look effortless. Its stunning simplicity makes it all the more beautiful. The food is authentic Korean fare with no bells and whistles, or modifications to appease the Western tongue, they will play with the "hot"ness factor if you ask for it. The only... More

This is a cute small place with great food. The menu is short, which is usually a good sign. We tried mandu (fried dough stuffed with vegetables), kimchi, pickled cucumber, marinated potatoes, fried pancakes from mungbean flour and bulgogi. All was very very tasty and we can say this after having tried korean food from San Francisco to China (not... More
