A good basic dinner.

At the lower end of one of the oldest cobbled streets in Dresden is this restaurant near where local fishermen would have eaten centuries ago. Today you can eat in or out (heaters) and the food is good, basic German fare, hearty and tasty. My husband had the sausage with sauerkraut and mash and... read more

However, this was very far from the case and our order was taken very promptly and our drinks arrived with equal celerity. We started with a beautiful soup and followed through with a shared... Good food, great location and good atmosphere. The service could be better.. I had the trout in almond butter and it was really delicious. I recommend it.

The gluwien... More

Given that this is right in the heart of the tourist area - this was good enough. We had walked the city tourist sights and wanted a beer. They sold it - it was cold and wet and tasted nice. Staff were pleasant and attentive - place was really clean and the food that passed our table looked good both... More

Whether during the warm or cold months, there is always good food and outdoor seating/standing at the Kutscherschaenke. In the winter, they have standing tables only, and THE BEST lentil-sausage soup I have ever had.
