Augustiner was our first stop after arriving in Dresden....we arrived early in the day and started to walk around looking for a place to lunch...it was a beautiful day. We walked around a bit, went past this place twice...thinking it was a bit too touristy with the costumed servers....but then I realized we were tourists and it was part of... More

Just one thing to mention about this restaurant: we were not served, so we left. The non-service wasn't worth a hundred character review.

After a long day walking around Dresdem we decided to grab some local food. The restaurant is in the city centre, just next to Frauenkirche. It has inside and outside seatings. The selection of food and drinks is spot on. We had Sachsen potato soup for starters and pork knuckle on the bed of sauerkraut, mashed and potato dumpling plus... More

Let's start of with the amazing location though. As the name suggests you have the Frauenkirche right in front of you. Their beer is amazing, wish I had more time on my stay to sample all of them. The service is really very good, and the main outside server knows good enough English to be comfortable to joke around too.... More

We grabbed dinner here because our feet needed a rest and the menu was varied. We sat outside and waited about ten minutes before we managed to catch the waitress and order drinks. It was another 30 minutes before we good catch her eye to order food. It took well over 30 minutes for food to arrive. I know service... More

Without having read a single review we went to eat in this place and were most pleasantly surprised. The greeting was warm and friendly and we were shown to a table with no wait although the place was busy. The menu choices were comprehensive if you like Bavarian food which we do. The staff dressed in dirndls for the women... More

Found this place right in the square in Dresden. great atmosphere with lots of place to sit and eat. Good room at the rear with local people enjoying themselves. Food was excellent and reasonable priced.Waitresses were excellent.

It was pretty expensive, and the we had to wait quite some time for our food. It wasn't really as especial as we had heard. Most importantly, the food choice was rather limited.

To be honest I'm not a huge fan of German food, but was taken here twice this week. Both occasions the place was absolutely packed. Service was good, but food and drinks took a long time to arrive. My local colleagues tell me the food is good and authentic, guess I'm just not a big fan...

We had dinner here a Saturday evening. Food is ok, prices reasonable for the location. The ceiling is rather low, ther are hard wooden chairs and few textiles - resulting in a loud, noisy atmosphere. A place for beer and party - not for the quiet dinner.
