just the best location on the square watching on Frauenkirchen. Very good prices. The food is rustic, typical bavarian..taste very good, but very heavy...Several beer types, it is a must when you are there. And don't hesitate to ask for bread to a dish or as a substitute of dumpling and cabbage. The bread is really delicious. It is always... More

Our tour guide from Insider Tours Berlin recommended this restaurant as a stop for lunch. I am so lad she did, it was wonderful! The staff are so friendly even when busy. I sat outdoors and enjoyed sitting in the old Square watching the world go buy and drinking German Riesling. The food was great! I loved it!

A sister restaurant to the one we visited in Berlin. Good food, friendly service, and great beer (it is owned by the Augustiner brewery.

Great ambiance, eating in the hart of old Dresden in the shadow of the Frauenkirche. Often with some music coming by a local musician from a street corner near. Traditional German food but don't let that keep you away! They are great with substitutions: I don't like potato dumplings and they always gladly substitute it for fried potatoes. Their Schnitzel's... More

You can drink good bee, but you have to bear a bad service. You can have a nice view, but you should wait long. Meat was good, but no dessert.

We were referred to this place for an authentic German supper, and it didn't really disappoint. The beers on draught really hit the spot, and there was a nice selection. It's a casual place, but right on the main square, lots of seating, both indoors and out (we sat inside on a cool, slightly drizzly early evening). The sauerbraten was... More

The food was very good at this restaurant, and our waiter was very friendly and helpful despite our lack of German. Of our nine days in Europe, this one one of my favorite meals

Last year we have discovered this restaurant in the heart of historical Dresden and liked it very much. This August we visited again. The menu was bigger and the food - oh mine! - directly out of heaven. This place specializes in Bavarian cuisine, fat, juicy and nourishing. Just to see what the waitress brings to the other tables makes... More

A branch of the Munich-based Augustiner brewery/restaurant. Authentic Bavarian (and Austrian) dishes such as pork knuckles and veal sausages. Not cheap but okay quality. There can be lots of tourists depending on the time of day. Service is mixed: from friendly to indifferent.
