Just perfect.

There are many places to eat in Dresden. Villandry is a good choice for local atmosphere. You will need a reservation and it's likely a taxi as this one is not in the historic district. It's across the river in a neighborhood area and too far to walk to but worth the cab fare. It's fine dining and the menu... More

This place is just a nice brasserie with an ok ambiance. Food selection is small (3 starters and 3 main courses). Service is also average.

I have been to Villandry several times. Some times was good some others just average. This time, it was great! If I could combine again my dinner I would take, the grilled-octopus as starter because it was cooked perfectly and it had such a fanstatic contrast between the spicy sauce and the smoke flavour delivered by the octopus. I come... More

The food is PERFECT! Really! If they only managed to improve the service in a sense of taking a bit more care with the clients, using the right cutlery and placing them in the right place on the table, arranging the table better (there was a table for us ready, but I prefered another one as the restaurant was empty,... Everything others have said about this place is spot on. Off the tourist route, fine food and service, small but thoughtful wine list, and about 50-60 Euro per person including wine, service, starters and dessert. If you know good food, you will enjoy this place.

After trying a number of well-rated restaurants in Dresden we finally were fortunate enough to eat at Villandry; it out-classed them all. Located in an interesting, non-touristy area, the restaurant has a charming, warm ambiance that is enhanced by the art on display. The staff was excellent, cheerful and helpful. The food was marvelous, starting with the freshest of salads... More

We dined here based on prior TA reviews, but to experience it went far beyond my expectations. The restaurant has several small rooms, but the decor makes the rooms feel open, but intimate. The menu has four to five dishes in each category (entree, main and dessert). It was hard to chose which ones to order - they all sounded... More

This restaurant is in Neustadt. It took us about 40 minutes to walk from the Frauenkirche. We had reserved a table in the courtyard to the rear which seats about 40 covers. This was just as well. It had been a very warm day and no one was sitting within the actual restaurant itself. However, our table awaited us and... More

We were lucky to enjoy a beautiful summer evening in the beautiful garden. Food was very creatively composed, very fresh and reasonably priced. Menu is short and changes nightly but no problem finding amazingly tasty dishes. Excellent wine list and we finished with a wonderful apple brandy. Romantic setting - too bad w my Bud and not my wife !... More
