An Old Master With A Modern Flair

This lovely café and restaurant is tucked away next to the Zwinger in the former studio of Albert Braun, who directed its renovation after World War II. There's outdoor seating with large and small tables and cozy indoor seating as well. I had several dinners here while on business, and thoroughly... read more

We visited this place by chance and we were very happy with what we got. Nice local and affordable food. I remember we paid around 15eur per person with the drink included.

We were four who had coffee and cake one day - just fine. The next evening we went back for dinner after the Opera - it is located 100 meters from the Opera. We all had Rosa Rinderfilet (steak). One asked for medium and the rest for medium-rare - and the result was perfect. The restaurant itself is more like... More

We had dinner here one night while visiting the city. They serve typical German fare : it's all very fattening and very delicious. Reasonably priced, with cheerful service. I would come here again.

This restaurant is conveniently located in the Zwinger. The meal was okay - nothing special. The menu was pretty limited. We actually preferred lunch the next day at another restaurant on the grounds.

We stopped here late afternoon during our Zwinger Museum visit. Very nice location with view of the opera. Cake was good, very friendly if somewhat slow service.

It's a medium-sized, dignifiied restaurant steps from the Opera House with a cavernous interior and high-ceilings. At night, in fact, it's hard to see their sign and entrance. Very nice menu but not extensive. Wine list was okay but it would have been nice if they had some medium-priced local red wines. The local wines we had were okay but... More

Best soup ever in my life then my Zander was served not cooked properly which took the shine off it a bit. Husband enjoyed his venison.

We called for a reservation late in the day on a Saturday, and luckily they still had room for 2. As a starter, we had carpaccio of of and pumpkin soup. Both were excellent and I can highly recommend the soup! As a main course, I had the veal in a balsamic reduction with mushrooms and fall vegetables with mashed... More
