It was brilliant. Perfect food, reasonable prices, skilled and pleasant staff, nice view. Concerning the food, we had wiener schnitzel with baked potatoes, both prepared in lard, and fresh vegetable salad, rostbrat with string beans, quarter of baked duck with knedels and soljanka. And of course coffee and schillergarten torte made with cream and fondant and walnuts. It was unspeakable... More

Nice view over the elbe and the bridge. If you like good quality but tasteless food this is the place to be. Friendly waitresses. Ingredients are good. But somehow no taste due to bad usage of salt and pepper plus more sophisticated ingredients. Certainly not bad. But also not worth a pla within the top100 of dresden. No go area... More

Great place, nice ambiance, good food. Very helpful and nice waiter. Good location, just near the Blaues Wunder Brücke (Blue Wonder Bridge) - access from the old town by tram 12 and from Albert Platz by tram 6. It's worth a visit.

This is a big place right at the Elbe River. All seating is outdoors so if it's cold you will want to bundle up. Gorgeous views of the forested hillside and villa houses across the river. You can watch the boats go by and people watch at this place. They have good beer and hot grilled dogs/bratwurst you can buy... More

Our guidebook recommend an Elbe walk from the Old Town in Dresden to the Blue Wonder Bridge. It was a beautiful walk shared with many other walkers and bicyclists. Arriving at the bridge after about an hour we stopped at the Schiller Garten. It’s been in business for about 300 years. There is a buffet side and a restaurant side.... More

If you're looking for an example of traditional German cuisine, this is the place to go. Great outdoor seating, exquisite food and fine beer. Strongly advised to book in advance to avoid waiting at the sparkling bar section. Tables outside have a nice overview on the river although in winter they are completely covered in snow. All the entries in... More

Lovely setting, adjacent to the Blue Wunder bridge. Sitting outside by the Elbe, it was a delightful scene. The food was excellent too -- a very well cooked Wiener Schnitzel and tasty local specialties for pudding. Staff very helpful and spoke excellent English. Well worth a visit overall.

We had great service and the food was great. Big portions at a fair price. A menus for everyone and a great setting. A local dinning med to upscale.

Traditional place with the typical local dishes. It pays the effort to take the tramway out to this restaurante because it is placed at a beautiful building at a magnificent neighborhood. Friendly staff.

Went as part of group, International Schools. The food was fantastic, I had the 1/2 roast chicken, the waitress spoke excellent English. She made us feel very welcome and we had a fantastic night. The cakes were to die for.. Even got a Schillergarten Beer Glass for my hubby as a present. Would love to return in the summer to... More
