We had a lovely meal, overlooking the market square. The salads here are particularly good, generous portions and a nice variety of ingredients. Very tasty we will definitely be going back. Prices were also very reasonable.

the place is nice but too small. In the center of the city, easy to reach. You can seat outside. The bathroom is in a horrible condition. The food is good expecially the meat. Big plate. Drink a little expensive. Inside almost always full of people.

My friends and I went there last week. The food was as good as expected. It wasn't my first time, but every time I went there, I wasn't disappointed. I ordered spaghetti with seafood and my wife ordered a fish (Zander). Both of them are delicious. Some other friends ordered fish eintopf and they're also quite happy with that. In... More

Good local place to eat and drink cocktails at reasonable prices and the staff are friendly and helpful even to foreign tourists.

Went here a couple of times for lunch (the location is great on a sunny day). The food was really boring (bland, not interesting, too much vinaigre in the salad; usual complaints about a standard German diner).

Good food, cheap prices and a nice view over the old houses around the central square. We had flammkuchen and greek salad and they both tasted delicious! Will definately visit again next time I'm in town!

Went there few times during my stay in Saarbrücken. They are directly at the Townsquare, the "St. Johanner Markt". Difficult to find parking in that area. The waitresses were nice, the food was good. Descent size, good taste, prices are great. Daily Deals such as "Schnitzel-Day", "Pasta-Day" etc. This is far away from fine dining but it is a descent... More

Upon arriving in the old town square its hard to decide between the variety - after trying a few during my last few stays in Saarbrucken - Tante Maja is the best!! only problem..it seems to be the favorite to the local crowd too, so lots of luck getting a table. Especially try Schnitzel night every Monday night!
