I used to be a relatively regular customer at the Yong bistro since it opened until I visited it recently and found out that the prices have increased by about 25 % (drinks included), while the amount of food got smaller (even the ginger tea is now served in smaller cups than before). Considering the current prices the food and... More

We were stuck in the rain looking for a place with a trip advisor decent rating when we realized we were standing outside of Yong. We typically LOVE asian food and are from an area where we can get good asian food. The summer rolls here were divine--we loved them. The coconut curry soup was also very very yummy, although... For those who want something different, this cosy “soup bar” on Neustraße with a very limited menu offers refreshing non-alcoholic drinks like ginger tea and passable noodle dishes like bo bun and curry noodle (already more than half of the items on the menu). The curry soup is too mild (and way too big) for us Thais but it’s a... More

We visited Yong Suppenbar 3 times during our short stay in Trier. The homemade pop and the fantastic wonton soup blew us away and kept us coming back for more. The staff were friendly and helpful - clearly foodies, and the ingredients were all fresh and homemade! Totally loved it. The ginger in the Wonton soup made me, a non-Wonton... More

My friends and I love that place! It is small, but very cozy. Soups are fresh and tasty. Ginger tee is perfect to pick you up in cold or rainy weather. Service is friendly and quick. We will be back again!

Stumbled across this by accident on the lovely Neustrasse whilst with my teenage daughters and we decided to give it a go for lunch. This is a very small informal restaurant/cafe with maybe max. 16 covers inside and small seating area outside. The menu is short - couple of soups, a salad, baguette, with chicken/tofu/prawn variations, and some interesting drinks.... More

I ordered the curry soup with flat noodles and tofu. The curry came looking good., with the right color and thickness. The flat noodles was cook right, the tofu was the right type and the lightly fried potato pieces was good. One taste of the curry soup and what a disappointment. It taste unbelievably flat and bland. What a pity!... More

After a day of walking through Trier, I had worked up quite an appetite. I'd read about this restaurant on TripAdvisor and made a point of finding directions to it at the city's tourist center. The woman at the tourist center circled the restaurant on my city map, saying enthusiastically, "Oh, ich kenne den Restaurant. Leckere Suppe!" ("Oh, I know... More
