Nice dinner.

The food was much better than the average German cuisine. The service was the german way, but you can't say that is was rude. All over a Nice dinner.

Such a beautiful building, carefully set tables, good service. The food was exquisite, the wine very good. There was a warm cheese that has a special place in my memory, the lamb was excellent. I liked the placet very much.

The restaurant looked fancy and uptight at the first sight. The service was as expected, timely, friendly and professional. The food choice is limited but exquisite. Enjoyed the wine and the beer and the vibe. One of the better options available in tiny Trier and a short walk from the bigger hotels.

The Euro14.00 lobster bisque was inedible because it was much too salty to the three of us who ordered it. When we mentioned it to the waiter, nothing happened. The main courses arrived 2 (two) hours after we walked in. When we approached the manager he chose to attack us and said that as "walk-ins" we should not complain about... More

This busy little restaurant tucked away behind a much flashier looking club/restaurant is faultless Great food beautifully served, good wine list, pleasant and attentive staff Only two slight criticisms it was slow (but not extremely) and it is fairly expensive (but not excessively)

Schlemmereule is a fine restaurant with good food and service. As a recent reviewer pointed out, short staffing is a bit of a problem, reulting in a 15 minute wait for us to get our bill. Then, too, the venison I ordered done medium came our rare, but the problem was quickly corrected. My wife's fish was excellent. Prices are... More

Restaurant is located in the top corner opposite the Dom, through the arch into the courtyard. It is a 'fine dining' establishment. We dined here twice. The menu varies with what chef has available, and is in both German and English. Our scallops were delicious, the rack of lamb very tender, and the beef fillet with goose liver was melt... More

Serendipity, again. Long train ride to Trier, checked into hotel, wandered around to get our bearings, rested, refreshed and ready to dine. Found Schlemmer Eule without difficulty thanks to the advice of Boris H. And it was a find. From the excellent bread and butter (thank you for the salt crystal garnish) through the baby shrimp, melon and frisee amuse... More

An elegant little restaurant in a secluded square near the Dom, this restaurant has some of the best service in Trier! We had lamb and steak. They brought out two tasty treats on the house which were both fantastic. They spoke English and had the menus in English and the chef came out to explain how he made the meat... More

Everything is a surprise with this restaurant. First you are in front of the Basilika and you cannot understand why you do not find it, it is in a hidden closen place. The entrance is already nice and stylish. The menu does'nt look like something special when you first read it, but when you eat it, just amazing tastes! All... More
