A little out of the way, but worth it.

Great schnitzel. A short walk from our hotel (Hugo Villa) on a rainy evening outside of the center of Trier.

We chose this restaurant because it was closee to the hotel and we were too tired to walk a great distance. We expected a fairly casual, quick dinner and were very pleasantly surprised to find a really nice place with excellent, continental food. Service was good but the food was superb.

My wife and I dined there last night. exceptional food, not cheap, but high quality. we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I had the rack of lamb that was perfectly done. My wife had the chicken infused with mushrooms. Good wine list in a unique setting. In my opinion the best restaurant in Trier. These people know what they are doing.

The building is charming and removed from the main city, near a train station. Inside, tables lack privacy, but there is also a small terrace. The music is one of their best features! None of that outdated 80s music you hear in many German restaurants. We made a reservation for 21.00 and the place was nearly empty. The small morsels... More

We had a lovely dinner at A la Minute in early May. The food was fresh and delicious, service promt and friendly. Restaurant is situated in old train station which gives it a unique atmosphere. The almost fine dining experience was defenitely our best dinner in Trier where we stayed for three days.

My wife and I stayed in Trier overnight as part of a larger trip. It was her birthday and I selected a la minute for dinner. Great choice! The food was superb and the service was excellent. It was a weeknight in late March so they only had one waitress but her ability to handle all the tables was amazing.... More

Superb meal, service and ambiance. We considered it excellent value. A bit of a taxi drive from the centre of Trier where our hotel was ( cost of cab around 20e round trip) but so worth it and probably the reason that its such good value. The room itself was totally unique, imaginatively converted ( was a railway station )... More

This is probably the best restaurant in Trier. The location in an ancient train station (in Prussian neo-gothic style) with modern, trendy interior is perfect. The young chef is preparing just excellent food with a clear emphasis on the quality of the ingredients. We had both meet (veal involtini for starters and filet of beef) and fish (scallops on asparagus... More

Went here during a romantic trip with my wife to Trier last weekend... It was rather calm (only around 10 people). But we had a great experience! Professional service, really great food and an ideal surrounding for a tête à tête... Even the price was very reasonable in relation to what has been offered... Definitily an address to remember!
