We,found this on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. Although they had a bit of an electrical problem the day we were there and were not able to serve hot meals at that time, we had very good cold fish dishes for lunch accompanied by a terrific local trocken Riesling (their house label that we came later and bought a... Popular place serving traditional German food inside and out. The quaint restaurant was busy and one has to stand in line to order and pay. We selected smoked trout as an appetizer and veal bratwurst with sauerkraut, fried potatoes and beer. We enjoyed sitting outside with a view of the church while drinking our beer. The service was very slow... More

We stopped in here for a little lunch and to try a little wine. It was a rainy day but it was bustling inside. The meals are simple here. We had a traditional bean soup with sausage. It was delightful. The Weinstube itself was very quaint and cute. The prices were very reasonable and they had a good wine selection.... More

The restaurant has a landmark statue of ancient wine boat on the Rhine. It serves simple food with big bowel of salads and good beers and local wines.

Stopped by solely due to hunger pains and wasn't disappointed. Food was good as was the wine. Service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere/location perfect. Overall worth a stop on your sightseeing trail to grab a bite and some of their local wine.

Tuesday afternoon, following a visit to the basilica and some window shopping, we sat down under the trees with a glass or two of white wine. Self service, no frills - but pleasant.

Loved the Wiltingen Rieslings. Self Service, but the food was pleasant and hearty. Adjacent to Trier Dom and lovely garden seating. Friendly staff. Just a great hang out for wine enthusiasts. Casual and relaxed, and not rushed. We took a six pack of Riesling to go.

Speedy service, simple but tasty dishes, good Mosel wine - we've visited many times over the years, and it's always a very nice and particular experience

We discovered this place on our first afternoon and went back several times because we liked it so much and because we wanted to taste all the rieslings highlighted on the blackboard. The wines were great - light, fruity and complex flavours, so unlike anything you usually find on sale in the UK. It was asparagus season whilst we were... More
