Good food but wrong order

Nice restaurant on the main market square. They also have a big garden in the back so we went to sit in there. We ordered food but one of my friends got the wrong dish. They weren't really friendly at that moment, stating that this was what we ordered. There was no room for discussion nor an... read more

The location of this restaurant could not be nicer, with a nice patio facing the Cathedral. The however the meal that I had was pedestrian and the staff indifferent. Definitely not recommended.

This restaurant was very good. I had the stuffed potato balls, which were delicious. The sauce was amazing. My husband had a beef stew type dish and it was also very good.

First, we wanted to sit and have a drink in the afternoon while watching the crowds pass by. Zum Domstein offered outside tables bordering one of the main squares in town. Prompt service and reasonable prices. After wandering around town and visiting the Ponta Negra, we returned for dinner. Inside is cosy and decorated with antique pictures of the area.... More

The only good thing about the restaurant is the view of the fountain if you sit outside. We ordered a variety of meals in our group and nobody finished their meal....most went barely touched. We ordered schnitzel, pork medallions, potato cordon bleu, steak, and some type of sausage and sauerkraut dish. The salads looked unappealing and went untouched. The waitress... More

Trier is beautifull, and Hauptmarkt is in the very center. The restaurant has a nice outdoor serving directly at the square. The food is rather average and nothing special but the pricelevel is ok to this standard. Serving is quick and professional. We give 3 Stars because of a good location anf lovely big glasses of the Local White Wine.

Visiting Trier for one night and just wanted something to eat so happened to sit outside this restaurant. The waiter was very polite and attentive, and spoke excellent English too. I had chicken with burgundy sauce and vegetables with tagliatelle, all of which was delicious. My partner had pork schnitzel with frites and salad, which was also great. Wouldn't hesitate... More

Awesome location. We sat out front in the market with a view of the busy plaza. Great German food, friendly atmosphere, good service for a decent price! We had the cordon blue, schnitzel, and schweinsteak with onions.

Spent the day in Trier and wanted to have the local cuisine for lunch. Found through Trip advisor. Very popular pub like venue with seating inside and out. Mum (80) had dumplings with meat. Probably twice the size she needed, but ate the vast majority - thoroughly enjoying it. I had veal ragout.rich tasty sauce and tender meat. Glass of... More
