Great athmosphere but kind of noisy, but it's definatly worth a visit. We took the veal schnitzel from the menue and i have nothing bad to say about it was very nice and the service was friendly although it was very crowded. But be warned you might get tired from the high volume, we decided to take the coffee outside... More

This is a former church turned into a classy restaurant with a wonderful courtyard for outside dining during summer wheather. Their flammkuchen is perhaps one of the best I've had during my 10 year stay in Germany.

The atmosphere can't be beat! If it's available, take the seats along the edge for more privacy. I recommend the Hugo as a pre-dinner drink. And the homemade veal sausage is brilliant. Very flavourful, juicy and cooked very well. I will definitely be back for the desserts on offer. I didn't have any this time but they looked delicious.

Upon first entrance the tall vaulted ceilings from the main floor of the old monastery are very striking and memorable. Thankfully my party of two was able to be seated on a Friday night with only a short wait of 10-15 minutes without reservations. Thankfully the food lived up to the impressive building. The trout was the best serving of... More

My hotel recommended that I go here and I am so glad that I did. It is housed in a beautiful old church and it's just magnificent. The place was slammed packed on a Friday night but I was able to get a table. The service was a bit slow at first but friendly in that they let me know... More

Reception/ host was so rude that my group of 10 decided to go to another restaurant. To bad, it's a beautiful space with losts of history.

We were in Mainz for 3 nights and we dined at Heilig Geist for 2 nights. This restaurant is housed in an old church building in the center of town and caters to vegetarians too. We ordered their very popular dish, the Croustarte (like a pizza) with fresh goat cheese, pine nuts and sun dried tomatoes--awesome and the pumpkin lasagnia... More

Nice dinner with friends. The setting in a old church is unique. The meal is better than many restaurants in town and service is very good.

The ambience in this church-turned-restaurant is a great setting for a drink or casual chat. I was a bit disappointed, however, as the food was not particularly impressive and we had heard rave reviews about it. In general I found the pizza to be somewhat standard and bit over salted, but if you are looking for an interesting place for... More

Very outstanding athmosphere in an extraordiary building. This building is nearly 1000 years old, was in the mediveal church, later hospital, later horse stable and since a long time an exclusive restaurant with a good ambiente. The food is very good and creative, the price level is a bit higher than in other local restaurant, but its worthy because of... More
