Fun atmosphere and good local craft beer!

Stop for a beer last night and ended up ordering a meter long board od beers. I thought it would be samples in smaller glasses but instead was basically 12 full-sized mugs of 2 different types of beer. Luckily we liked the beer. Fun atmosphere with a younger crowd.

Always looked busy and lively when walking past. Seats outside undercover by the road mostly full. Went inside sat by the brewing pots.Went for the dunkel which I have to say tasted a little too vinegar like to enjoy. Ordered schnitzel in beer sauce. Two massive slabs of meat with slightly thicker than normal coating arrived. Looked a bit daunting... More

An institution in Mainz, it's packed every day of the year, why? They brew the beer on the premises, serve good hearty meals in large portions at very reasonable prices and they ensure their staff are friendly and competent. Great to go as a couple or a group!

Visited again in July. We love the place. Good fresh beer (in Germany that is pretty much everywhere!), good service, and good times sitting outside eating. Not much of a view but it is great weather there now! OF course we had the beer. I hade the Jagerschnitzel which I ordered by mistake. But it was great. I think the... More

Beer is good, staff is quick and friendly. Food I would avoid though. My fiancé felt bad after the porknucle for over a day and I just didn't finished my dish

Out of amber beer, only Schwarz & Helles available. Place may fall under the overrated category. It's a solid about-what-to-expect. My 4th visit, will def return. Great atmosphere.

Eisgrub Bräu is a unique place worth visiting in Mainz. Just slightly off the main attractions in the ancient city center, this beer brewery provides a wonderful atmosphere to go with friends and find new ones, particularly during summer days. The beer tastes great - although Mainz certainly is a wine region. Finally the food also is very easy to... More

This brewery is amazing. I make it a point to visit every time i am in Mainz. The beer towers are the best. They also have a tray of beer i believe it comes with 12 beers for large groups. The restaurant brew Haus is right in the brewery which is pretty neat. You can see where they brew the... More
