Good Flammkuchen in Coblenz Altstadt

Spending some hours in this very nice Rhein region, we stopped at Alt Coblenz for a quick lunch. We sat at the outdoor tables on a beautiful sunnty day and had two Flammkuchen, the traditional, very popular german meal similar to a very thin pizza. We chosed the most traditional one with cheese... read more

The restaurant was full but we quickly got a seat. After ten minutes without even being given a menu nor asked if we wanted a drink, we gaspingly left. oh and the owner seemed a bit miffed at us walking out just because we had waited. Well with this attitude, we feel it is better to spend our money elsewhere.

We had booked well ahead of our stay in Koblenz with 8 people and had ordered Pork Knuckle or Schweinehaxe in advance. We were seated outside and our server was a very friendly and helpful young lady. The food was excellent, the wine great and the atmosphere superb. The best surprise was the bill, very reasonable in the light of... More

My wife and I live in Koblenz and use to frequent this restaurant periodically. Unfortunately, the last two times we were there for dinner we were utterly disappointed. After having complained to the waitress on our food she apparently had mentioned it to the owner ( also the chef d'Cuisine ) who came to us and admitted that his long... More

We wanted to go to Alt Bauhaus, but it was closed on Monday at 10 pm. So the second choice of Alt Coblenz. Really fun, with plenty of great local beer, in the middle of wine country, dancing to the one man band, but with a singer. No tourists, save us. Great pretzels. Also local dishes that looked good, but... More

Really good food but expensive. The atmosphere is fun and cozy. The menu is authentic so I find myself exploring new dishes here. I have never been disappointed.

We were here with our children and enjoyed our dinner. Room upstairs was full so we were taken in the "cellar" dining room where we had a large table by ourselves. Atmosphere is very typical with nice decor. We ordered great German food and were very happy with the quality: the gebraten Rind is excellent, my wife had fantastic asparagus... More

What a place. I had the curywurst and this place has made an art of this Beerhal dish. I also think this is the first place in Germany that understands how to make proper fries. Keep on going!
