Fun atmosphere and good food, but a little pricey.

In good weather, and even in not-so-good weather, there are tables outside on the "platz" (in this case, a pedestrian plaza) and the wait staff is always professional, personable, and just a lot of fun. Sit out there if you can. It's great for absorbing the German atmosphere and people watching... read more

Staff and food are excellent. The rump steaks are tender and well prepared. Lots of good choices. Good wine and beer choices. Nice inside & outside atmosphere.

Many Germans told me that the beer in this restaurant is really good, and it is!!! After six months in Germany I have tried lots of beers but this one is special, personally I tried the homemade Wenzel and the Hell (light), but I think that the Dunkel (dark) is good too. Moreover you should try the food really good... More

We stopped here for dinner because we had heard it was a good place to eat and good beer ... WRONG on both counts!!! We went mid week took 45 mins to get our food and it was cold and not good!! The beer had very strange after taste . Would not recommend !!

good location;tables outside; huge portions. resonable prices. we had a schnitzel, flammkuchen, salads..wine and beer... average bill was 15-18 EUR. not bad. dishes tasty; salad fresh. The restaurant offer day deals (e.g. buy a flammkuchen and get beer for free...that was a nice surprise, as we were not aware of the offer:)

Great open air market with cafe's, restaurants and bars that offer up a wide array of food and drink selections. The Brauhaus is right in the main square of a pedestrian only cobble stone street area in the main downtown shopping area of K-town. Close to the SAKS hotel, the Kaiserslautern FC shop and the food and flower market this... More

I went to order the Grillhaxe since I heard it was delicious. I arrived around noon and I was told they didn't have any for that day. A bit disappointed, she gave me a menu ( they have English and German) and I finally chose Wurstsalat with pommes and salat, spicy sausage with fries and salad with a dunkel beer.... More

This is a traditional resturant as far as food goes but the beer choices are unique as they brew their own and they are served in unique tall mugs. They have the best salad ever and the waiter staff has always been exceptionally good. They have a brunch that has a variety of choices but I think still leaves something... More

I visited this restaraunt on a Monday night. There were 3 adults and a 1 year old in our party. We showed up and were able to find a table in the corner. It was a tight fit for all of us but we made it work. They were quick to bring a highchair for my daughter which was great.... More

Good salads, nice selection of wine. Good for people watching when sitting outside but once the church bells start it's quite noisy and difficult to joke a conversation. Good location and meeting place for a drink.
