A gem

Superb reuse of a former municipal swimming pool. Food is mainly traditional German, the Swinehexe is particularly good. Agree with other reviews that found the cloudy Pils a little odd but not a major negative. The gents toilet is a must to see the mural above the urinal!

Looks like a tourist trap. Very average food. Reasonable service. Not a very large beer selection. Place seems large, but barely anyone on a week night. Came recommended by hotel - Should have trusted yelp over hotel staff.

The only possitive was beer, the food was terrible, they served moldy olives with the cheese, pork knee and wurstsalat were also poor.

Went there as part of a large group, and we were well fed and watered, with excellent food and superb beers. The staff were attentive and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

An interesting venue, being a former swimming baths, which made for a good atmosphere on the evening we visited, a Monday evening in late January. The main house beers are unfiltered, natural, beers so they are somewhat cloudy which is how they are supposed to be. Of these I enjoyed the dunkel (dark) and my friends enjoyed the hell (light... I used to go swimming there when I was a little boy. They converted it into a brewery. The ambiente is the only thing the place has going for itself. The food is average at best and the beer is downright awful.

This is a micro brewery with a difference. It combines the traditional Brauhaus with good food and special brews. The beer is perfect and leaves none of the after tastes if one goes over the top. The price is about par with the rest of Germany. Sadly there are no longer cheap outings in Germany so be prepared to spend... More

If your in Wuppertal and fancy a vibrant evening visit the Brauhaus. It's a restaurant, i'ts a brewery, it was swimming baths. The food is generous and wholesome, the beer is very good, the place is loud, but above all it is fun, especially if you can go as a group.

The former swimming pool ambiance gives it a nice touch, but the food selection and quality does not go beyond the typical barfood. Not bad but not impressing in any way either.

I would definitely go back if I were in the area! The restaurant is located at a converted natatorium--very unique! The beer and food were tasty...
