Very busy place with friendly staff. We had a great meal here for a reasonable price. Very elaborate menu, partial English menu available as well. Everything we tried tasted great. We had the beef stew with potatoes, schnitzel and our child had the fish and chips.

Warm, gemuetlich and cozy atmosphere; two good soups to start with (linzen and pheasant). Turning to the large menu we saw several promising winter dishes but in sad reality the game (hare in this case) was over cooked and one of our sausages had obvious freezer-burn. The potatoes and sauerkraut were first class but the red cabbage was watery. Service... More

This traditional restaurant was recommended by a local contact, and it is certainly an interesting experience, with good local specialities, friendly and quick service, and a fascinating traditional decor enlivened by plenty of material artefacts. We arrived about 7:15 p.m. and were told that we would have to wait about 20 minutes for a table; in fact the wait was... More

We had a very delicious dinner here! Great German westfalische traditional Food! Bratkartofeln is a must (sounds simple but soooo delicious!) If you don't speack Deutch then you might experience some Problems but thats often this way if you are looking for local and not touristic places.

I'd say, find some other restaurant if you are in Muenster for an overnight stop. There is not much that will impress you here. The waitresses seem confused, the least to say. The menu looks promising, but the food they serve is dull and lacks the tastiness and quality you will find in most German traditional restaurants. And yes, I... More

This time just a schnitzel / beer and a little "Roggenkorn". Nothing complicated but tasted as good as we had expected. A good way to start a couple of days in Münster.

I could just comment on the great food here, but that would only address half of the experience .i don't speak/read much German, and at first blush the menu was somewhat intimidating. Our waiter recognized my challenge and quickly produced an English version. I was thrilled, and it allowed me to be more adventuresome in my meal choice. My entre... More

Title kind of sums it up. We ate their a number of times. The worst thing on the menu is excellent and it gets better from there. When you see scores of old German men with their vests and attractive wives going in you know you are in the right place. If you are within 200 kilometers of Muenster a... More

When eating at an institution such as Leve, stick with the house specialities or ask for their recommendation and you will never be disappointed. I have had rinderroulade all over Germany and the plate that I enjoyed last night was one of the best ever. The accompanying red cabbage was to die for and the mashed potatoes and gravy, yum!... We went for dinner after reading good reviews on Tripadvisor. The waitress spoke some English and was very nice. However, the foods were not that great. I had blood sausages that came with potato and bell pepper. My partner ordered Veal Schnitzel. The salad had lot of cream dressing. Overall, nothing spectacular about this place. I had much better blood... More
